Digital Thermometer (monitoring temperature rectally) Neosporin or Bag balm Ointment (antiseptic and thermometer lube) Bag of frozen peas( for cooling an overheated ferret) Bag of Buckwheat (that can be warmed to offer heat to a cold ferret) Clean towels ( to wrap the above bags and comfort the sick ferret) Saline Solution ( to irrigate wounds and flush eyes) Hydrogen peroxide (antiseptic) Corn Starch (Styptic powder) Tea tree oil (for ear wipes and antiseptic use) Lavender oil (a tiny dab on towel or cozy for ferret to smell to keep it relaxed) Cotton gauze squares( to use for pressure bandages) Popsicle sticks( for splinting) Cotton Roll gauze for wrapping splints. Your vet's Phone number and address as well as a map to get there. Gloves to handle the hurt ferret that may bite due to pain. A clean cozy and portable carrier ready to go to vet.
Hope this helps! Cheers, Kim

that does help, thank you! i wanted to make a kit for the ferrets, mainly so that it would be all together for my roommates in case anything ever happened to the kids while i was away. i would have never thought of saline solution.
