Between last night and today a lot has happened with the cats.
Last night Peter caught Figaro scooting his rear around on the carpet and was saying, "No!! Stop that!" When I found out why I immediately got hold of him and inspected his rear - lo and behold, an inch of stick was poking out. Armed with restraining power and a latex glove, we pulled it out - it was FIVE full inches long! Peter says it was a Q-Tip, though I have no idea HOW he got a Q-Tip, we rarely use them and when we do they always go straight in the sealed trash can. <_<
Both cats are on raw diets, so.
When Peter got home from work today, Forest (18 month old) gleefully ran to the door and Peter didn't see him there. I heard the most AWFUL screaming noise - - poor baby had had the door CLOSED fully on his paw. At first I had thought Figaro and Forest were mock-fighting like they sometimes do, but it was too drawn out for it to have been that, so I came running just in time to see that he had let him loose and he tore into the bedroom and hid under the bed.
I took him out and carefully inspected his paws for broken bones - nothing broken, thank goodness, though I'll be watching it for swelling or him favoring it, if that happens we'll be going to the vet.
Makes me glad I bought Forest a balloon the other day (a gold star balloon), he has been carrying it around the apartment by its string in his mouth, so cute to see a 'lil kitten prancing about with his balloon. He loves it!
