Okay so, since this has to be done from a photo bucket account I can't post my most recent pics. I can only post what I have in photobucket which I haven't used in a while. When i upload more pics onto photo bucket I will post them here!
Incase you don't know both my ferts are adopted. Kahlua had a really neglected past. She had worse than normal vision, she had brittle fur, she was all bones and she had no fur on her tail. After a lot of hard core TLC she was good to go! Mojito was adopted after she was better. His previous owners decided that their son couldnt handle a ferret, even though they'd had him since 06 (and I got him in 09) but the mom said she loved him dearly and wanted to keep him but is allergic.. I dont know if their story was the truth or not but he is a very good boy. A little wild but still good.
Kahlua and the collar-- When I adopted Kahlua she came with a collar, I tried to use it with her but it was just too big. She would always end up pulling it off eventually so I ended up loosing it. Recently I found it, I put it on her and it fit great so I got her a new one- same size just girlier- and it fit fine but I guess one of them moved the adjuster thing while they were playing cause it got caught on her stomach and since I'm having wrist issues, i couldnt get it off. We were both freaking out and I was crying when my fiancee got it off.. sooo thats why (even in the new ones I will be posting later) she sometimes has a collar and sometimes doesnt- incase you were wondering
this is my sig for another forum
Kahlua and Mojito together
Kahlua and Mojito togther
From here on out their pretty old pics unfortunately, sorry, I'll get new ones up asap:
This was before we adopted Mojito. Jack Daniels and Captain Morgan were my sister and my moms ferrets respectivly. My sis went into highschool and something happened, I couldn't even tell u what, and my parents got mad and so Jack Daniels and Captain Morgan now live with my best friend and her fiancee as well as their 2 cats and their sprite, nyxa. Their new names are Aries (CM) and Achillies (JD)
One of Kahlua's earliest pics
Another early one of Kahlua, her tail was in bad shape still. It took a while for it to start growing in but once it did, it was so fast before she had a big boa-tail.
One more early one, she was in bad shape. Thank god I got her when i did!
Smirk
Kahlua as she got healthier and started playing more
These are still before Mojito
Showing off her great bod, coat and tail!
The "u-cant-see-me" pose
Still playin
Her and Tequila. He was semi raised with ferrets, but it had been a while so I just wanted to give his training a refresher course
Now for the newer stuff:
This is the cage that Kahlua's previous owner gave me. I asked for a few different ferret nation cages for christmas but my fiancee was determined to get me an itouch instead. Not that I'm unhappy with the itouch but I'd *LOVE* a better cage.
this was only like a week ago before we took the xmas tree down
The leopard print thing is one of the sleep sacks I sewed them for christmas
This is my two with my friends three (two of her three used to be my mom and sisters) The little one on the end is Nyxa, next to her is Captain Morgan (whoes new name is Aries) next to him is Jack Daniels (whoes new name is Achillies) and then Mojito and Kahlua. Kahlua has issues with other sprites, I'm not sure why. When she was weak and sickly she used to be afraid of them, now she is vicious towards them and constantly tries to attack Nyxa. We had read a couple of different tricks to try to get them to get along but none of it worked. This was one (bathing them together)
They're fine in the bath but once they come out, Kahlua b-lines for poor Nyxa and scruffs her and Nyxa starts screaming. Ugh. We have worn out our options i think, since then I havent brought Kahlua and Mojito to see my friends ferrets. Its a shame because before I adopted Mojito, Captain Morgan and Jack Daniels were her buddies and since Morgan and Jackie are no longer with my sister I was hoping they could still have Kahlua, at least. I still see them often (we live in the same apartment complex) but I feel bad that they dont see her
Kahlua's winter poof after a bath
Kahlua hugging Mojito (his head was hanging out of the hammock and therefor not pictured)
Kahlua and Tequila. He is obsessed with her, he adores every little bit of her.
ALL THREE IN ONE PIC, go me!! lol
Caught in the act! He loves to climb the back of this thing and knock things down...
the famous "It-wasn't-us" pose
I've been taking buku pics of Kahlua lately because I am amazed at the coat change she's experienced this winter. She has gotten so much more cream/white! This ones kinda fuzzy but its her playing with daddy and a sqeek toy
Cuddling! She is always hugging him, its so cute!
Mojito and Tequila's "bed" he doesnt really sleep there (he sleeps on the sofa with a down comforter) he just kinda plays with it lol
Another one of my favorite pictures. The cat is the stray I take care of, his name is Sailor Jerry. He is a sweet heart but kinda afraid of the ferts, though they adore him! This was taken a few weeks ago. He is currently on quarantine (as much as it hurts me) I want to let him inside but i think he's sick and since he showed up in my life, i have to put him second to the lives I took on myself. The way I see it, its my responsibility to protect Tequila, Kahlua and Mojito from outside dangers. I am looking for vets who are good with semi-ferals atm and also considering bringing him to a stray/feral/semi-feral refuge. As much as I will miss him, it may just be our best option.
These were last night...
This pic is too freakin cute!
Tequila has learned that the ferts dont respond to play bows so he rolls around instead.
Mojito caught trying to climb the wicker thing
Peekaboo
One of Kahlua's fav toys is plastic bags (I always am super vigilant, i promise!)
Since Sailor Jerry prefers the outdoors, that is where I've unfortunately had to quarantine him to. This is Mojito missing him. It breaks my heart. I hope we can get him in good shape soon!
