As an occasional treat yes. But be sure to get sardines that are canned in WATER (not mustard or oils) Too much Tuna can lead to vitamin E deficiency, so feed sparingly. A better option is to get raw fish locally (whole frozen-thawed raw sardines and anchovies are GREAT if you can find them!) and offer that. Ferrets arent really fish eaters, whereas their cousin (the mink) lives pretty much JUST on fish. Feed ferrets fish (canned or raw) no more then 1-2 times per week

mine love fish so they get it maybe 2-3 times a month. Like Giuli said feed the sardines in water. Other then that i give fresh fish. We eat alot of salmon so i cut of a piece, cut that into chunks and it is usally gone before it hits the cage LOL

Tuna can cause mercury poisoning. Small fish like sardines are great.

Actually I do feed sardines in olive oil, mainly because the sardines in water are always OUT at my grocers! My guys get fish maybe every other week. I also offer canned salmon, but they won't touch tuna, unless it is sushi tuna. I also offer raw salmon or freeze dried and they all seem to really like this!
Cheers, Kim
