How cute! I think they are so cute, but I have a horrible phobia of geckos and little lizards (not iguanas or things that that, but the little ones that live in the bushes).

Really? That's a new one! I have several friends who are terrified of snakes. Needless to say they don't visit my place often! I think it is soo funny when they wag their tails! haha I miss my little Galileo, but she is much much better when she is. To me geckos are more of a look-at animal. Fun to have and watch, but not an animal I get super excited to play with often. That is why I re-homed my geckos (one I rehomed earlier due to a financial crisis involving my car. I had to use the $ from selling her to fix my car it was the only way I could afford it ). My cresties both went to a woman who I now consider a friend, in town who wanted to start breeding. The first I sold bc of my car, the second I was overwhelmed and just needed to slim down the collection. My leo Galileo, went to an adorable little boy who was soo exited and spent the night thanking me profusely. He had done his research well. So I miss them a lot, but they are better where they are. They just didn't get out of the cage much. After that I got Koda. I wanted a furry pet who could come with me where I went, snuggle, and be out and about without 100% of my attention. Well, without getting lost anyways! I still have a snake and an iguana. My iguana will probably be with me for life, but I really have to think about what to do with her for Med School...she is very time and $ consuming, so I might be forced to rehome her. I hope not though!

Yeah, I think my cats traumatized me, leaving all those dead (and alive) geckos am lizards ing bed room as a child I'd wake up and step on something really squishy and gross. Yuck! I don't mind snakes, bugs, or larger reptiles like iguanas or chameleons. Sorry you had to rehome your babies, but at least thy get lots of love! I had to rehome my hedgehog. When I moved out, I had left him behind with the plan of picking him back up. My rents really stopped taking care of him, so I found a really nice family and donated him to them. I had a huge iguana as a kid. It got so big we just moved him onto the screened porch. Unfortunately, he managed to escape and we never saw him again. Hopefully you'll be able to keep her, or find her a really awesome home.

I had a fat-tailed leopard gecko! More brown/black than this one though. He was so cool! I used to let him roam around my bathroom with the door shut and I would turn the overhead bathroom heat lamp on.

I used to let him roam around my bathroom with the door shut and I would turn the overhead bathroom heat lamp on. An African Fat Tailed Gecko maybe? Or a cross breed? I know a few people have cross bred them... Leos do come in all sorts of colors though! Jackie - I don't blame you! I would be grossed out to wake up and step on a squishy "prize" as well! I am actually happy about rehoming the geckos. I miss them yes, but they are a lot better where they are and I feel that I have a much better balance of critters now. I do very much regret rehoming my Schneider's Skink though. I regret it every time I think of him - I will never have such a great lizard! And the people I sold him to will not even contact me back so I have absolutely NO idea how he is doing. *sigh* Sellers remorse. And that is awesome you had an ig, I am sorry he escaped! They are a LOT of work and eat non stop! lol Mine is not well socialized and a bit of a jerk but I love her anyways. She was basically abused and has come a long way. There are pics of them all in the Reptile thread of this part of the forum.
