I cleaned Koda's ears tonight, with a little oil, which means that he also got a bath. I noticed that when I bathe him, after wards he seems to drag his butt and belly a lot, and do a lot of cleaning of his sensitive areas. I make sure to try to avoid putting soap on those areas directly, but obviously in the running waters some is going to wash down onto them. So, I make sure to let hie belly and bum run under water for a good time and rinse them well (so I don't spray water directly on them, but let it run over). He still seems irritated after a bath though, and seems to do it regardless of the shampoo that I use. Could it just be that with his IBD and all, he just has a sensitive bum, or is this normal ferrety post-bath behavior?

Mine always do that after a bath, or even just extreme water play, like when I drop them in the "deep end"(maybe 3") of the tub I guess they want those parts extra dry!

Yeah, Sly always itches those areas a lot after a bath, and drags himself through clothes and drags his butt on the carpet.
I usually don't use shampoo after my first accident, I just let him run around in the water and just lay down.

Sasha did this earlier, she decided to knock over a bottle of bathroom cleaner and stepped in it so I had to give her a bath right away, afterwards there was much bum dragging, rolling, tail bristling and zipping across the room like it was the indy500.
I don't think she apperciated it, however she got herself into that mess!

Bummed out...haha That made me giggle. I think you are right though, perhaps we had better keep this a secret for now.
