A ferret that is developing normally but has not yet opened his eyes is too young to be away from it's mother. he best thing you can do, if possible, is return the ferret it its mother, if the mom has enough milk to feed your baby.
responsible breeder should be prepared to take care of difficult situations and take care of the babies even when problems arise.
Ferret babies cry when they need something like food or warmth. They will cry if they need to be with mom and mom is not there. If one of the babies trays from mom and gets isolated, it will cry. Mom will wake up and tuck that baby into her belly along with the other litter mates.
If there is no way this baby an be returned to the breeder. I recommend contacting a reputable breeder(There are some on this site that may have time to help)
Ferrets are interesting in that they start eating solid foods earlier than many other animals, but they continue to derive nurse longer.
There can also be reasons (such as infection) why eyes do ot open on their own. How old is the ferret? A trip to the vet may help as well.

Where did you get this little one from? A "breeder", or a store? Either way, I'd be making a trip to the vet.

If from a breeder, this should never, ever happen. No reputable breeder will remove their kits from their mommas before their eyes open. Kits shouldn't be taken from their mommas before their eyes open. If from a pet store, then you may very well have a very sick kit. I will see if I can find the recipe for kit supplement for you. I would most certainly get this kit to a vet asap. Discover the age of this little one, then you can have an idea how to better treat this little one. Some solo kits cry, when they have been removed from all their little friends, because really they're too young to be away from their mommas much less their shipped friends. Please get back to us asap with more information about your little one. ciao
