I steam my own on the stovetop because my grocery store does not carry plain old pumpkin in a can. Is there anything wrong with this? Or is that perfectly fine? I would feel as though that is just fine, but I wanted to know how everyone felt about it? Sometimes, you don't know if something is okay or not, until you ask. What do you guys think?

Oh of course! I have accidentally grown a crop of pumpkins before and utilized them by steaming and canning them myself!! It's definitely okay

Awesome. It seems to be the best route for me. I like making it into a sort of soup and giving them a serving a day. They really love their pumpkin
