I moved to Texas and left my babies in my parents care. They have been properly taking care of them and playing with them often. The plan was to have all 3 of my babies brought here September 13th by my parents. Now only 2 of my babies will be making the journey. Nibbles was found at the bottom of a ramp in their FN142 earlier this evening. My parents had checked on them this morning and they were all their usual bouncy selves. We arent sure what caused her to pass but we think it may have been old age. We arent sure how old she was since she was a rescue. We originally got her with our other ferret Spazz. From the first day we brought them home, Nibbles wasnt as active as Spazz. We thought she was just lazy. Now we are beginning to think she was older than him. My fiance and I of course thought my parents were wrong and that our little Nibbles was in a dead sleep. Unfortunately we were wrong. her body was cold and her hind legs were stiff. We are taking our other 2 to the vet tomorrow to make sure they are okay Nibbles was an amazing little girl. Every day she made me smile with her love of shiny objects, her favorite toys and her incredible personality. My fiance and I cried for hours after we got the news. As I write this I cant hold back the tears. I love her very much and I hope that wherever she is, she is playing with all the other ferrets that have gone over the bridge. Nibbles (right)

I am so sorry for your loss. It is difficult to loose a furchild but to loose one while one is away is even more devastating some how. I will light a candle for your little Nibbles to guide her paws onto her next great adventure. Grieve not for your loss, celebrate a life that was gifted to you, to share and to love. A ferret only wants your smiles and laughter, never your tears. Remember our little ones never really leave us. They walk and dance with us, we need only to close our eyes and listen carefully to hear them. They are the rustling of leaves and their soft voices can be heard in the whisper of the wind. They come to us in the middle of the night, and in dreams we once again play together. Goodbye little Nibbles. Never really gone, never forgotten. ciao

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it is not necessarily easier in any way, but take comfort in the fact that when it was her time she when quickly and painlessly and didn't suffer for months with a horrible disease. She is in a better place, I hope your other 2 fuzzies are doing well.
