I have no idea how to get them to eat raw food. I really want to switch them to raw but they just smell it and walk away.

Horse656 is correct. There are as many methods to switch to raw food as there are ferrets and ferret slaves The idea is to find the one that works the best for you. It is rare that you will convince a ferret to eat raw food by just putting the food in front of them and expecting them to eat it. Most regard meat as poison to be avoided at all cost. Kits are about the only ones that take to eating the raw meats right away...that's only because they're hungry little tummies with teeth and would eat anything if it falls down in front of them ciao

I've had some take to it immediately(well, actually ONE, and she was only 5 months old!), and I've had others that have taken about 5-6 weeks just to eat a raw soup willingly(Boris!!! ) So yes, definitely check out the mentoring section, the archives, and even the vault. A mentor is good because they can help you do a one on one thing. In the regular board, you get who you get when you get them But since most of us here on on daily, you can usually get an answer to a problem pretty quickly.
