Hey ya'll got our debt paid off...wooohooo! So now I have some extra cash to trick out the ferret's home. I'm a very impatient person so ordering online or through catalogues kills me, I hate to wait, I'm very IG! So who has a better selection of ferret hammocks and fun bedding like that, Petco, PetSupermarket or Petsmart? Wal-mart and Target have nothing of interest except cheap cat toys, that the Fuzz love, but no hammocks, cozy cubes, or those cute hanging sleeping tunnels....
Also, even though I'm super IG, I LOVE a killer deal...clearance priced stuff is the BEST! (I do all our clothes shopping at good will and a few consignment shops) I hate paying full price for anything, I'm quite cheap I guess you could say so what websites are good at having great deals for Fuzz toys and bedding? If I keep myself really busy and TRY to keep my mind off of new stuff comming in the mail I might be able to not drive Jason our mailman crazy....

I always buy my ferret bedding online. Doesn't take long at all! And Rose's stuff is some of the most amazing and durable bedding I've found I know you're not big for online, but here's her site anyway: littlefeetferretbedding.webs.com/

I agree, Rose makes wonderful bedding at a very cheap if you look at the cost of the individual pieces. My boys are a bit on the big side for some of Rose's items, so if your ferrets are BIG, you may want to consider contacting Rose and seeing if she can make some of the items bigger (the tunnels, the round dens and the round/open beds are too small for my boys. ) Rose has stuff on ebay, and she has a web ite as well. www.littlefeetferretbedding.org/(LFFR on ebay) My favorite bedding, which is the very best made on the planet, comes from Snoopy's Snugglers (Sandy Gammage). Sandy'd bedding is HUGE and of ultimate high quailty - I love it. It's NOT cheap. If you have a small cage, this bedding will take up a lot of space. www.ferretsheartnsoul.com/Sandy also sells her stuff on Ebay. There are other ferret bedding items on ebay that are non-commericial - some can be obtained for bargain prices. HOWEVER, LFFR and Snoopy's Snugglers are both ADV-free businesses. most other places with homemade bedding do not test their ferrets. I'm sure there are some commerical pet businesses on ebay that sell the commercially made bedding, but you need to check prices and shipping! You can also look for sales on places like ferret.com and ferret depot. I think ferret.com has a little better pricing, but online sales are your best bet assuling you do'nt live in Alaska and get killed on shipping prices. If you buy things without seeing them first, ALWAYS check sizing since ferts come in many different sizes. Some ferts PREFER small bedding, especially if they like to sleep alone. So a lot will depend upon your cage and your ferts. DO you like to make things or sew??? If so, there are numerous patterns on the web for making your own bedding. The materials are getting to be expnsive, but you can sometimes get them pretty cheap at Walmat, etc. Even if you don't sew, you an make no-sew fleece bedding which works great if your ferret are not chewers. Most fabric chewers may eat the fleece fringe. Hammock, cubes/dens, sleep scks, etc. can all be made from fleece with no sewing required. You can get fleece for sale pretty darn cheap, and you can make a LOT of bedding from 1 yard since nearly all fleece is 60 inches wide. -jennifer
