Hello everyone!!! My name is Amy ad I live in Orlando with my boyfriend Steve. We have 2 great weasels. Todd he is a dark sable and Vixey she is a cinnamon. Vixey can be a biter but I am working on that. The squirt bottle seems to be working. They are 1 1/2 years old. We have not tried the raw diet yet but its is something we are thinking about. I look forward to learning new things about my little ones.

Sorry for the late welcome ( I was chatting with you on ferret.com). We are a friendly bunch and we are at your service to answer whatever questions you may have. Best of luck with the transition to a better diet for your kiddos! Oh! when my Fugue started on raw, it gave him an appropriate outlet to vent his biting/chewing/gnawing behaviors. He hasnt bitten since! Now with ferrets that have emotional issues as the reason for their biting, the diet might not completely solve the problem, but it can certainly help! Much like giving a scratching cat a post, raw can serve as a healthy outlet for chewing and biting behaviors.

Hi Amy Have you thought of clicker training your biter? I used that for Mad Max, it works fantastic. A natural diet also seems to give them something else to sink their teeth into rather than your skin. How much free roam time does your furbaby get? I've found that this can also help. Just some thoughts. Feel free to post questions that's what we're here for

Welcome Amy! I too, have (had) a biter...patience, consistency, & extra love are your biggest assets! If you want tips that worked for me, PM me & I'll let ya know what worked for my vampire ferret. =)
