Some might think this is weird, but have you vacuumed your mattress lately? I watch a show called How Clean is Your House. They reccomend it. I don't know how often your supposed to do it but I think I'll be doing it every four days to a week. And people shed 5-10 pounds of skin a year so obviously..................Its a good idea!!!!!!! Did you know that in ten years 90% of your pillows weight will be dust mites and dust mite poo? I wash my pillows all the time though and I don't know of anyone who has kept a pillow for 10 years lol. And the vacuum that I've been using has three filters so it works Very well. Sorry for the strange thread. But if you haven't vacuumed your bed lately, it might be a good idea! -~Ketlin

We don't even have carpet.....
But we had to babysit someones dog. Their house was really clean and kept up with. But the dog pooed in the crate over night, went to move the cage and EWW. The carpet looked clean but where the cage is never moved the carpet under it was like, 5 shades lighter. They have really light speckled carpet and they have red clay mud so I guess over time its just little by little gotten tracked in. And they don't even know. And behind the cage in the corner there were doggy fur balls.
We do rent a shampooer sometimes to clean the furniture. I shampoo my mattress. Maybe I'm crazy but I want my bed as clean as possible!!!

Buying a carpet cleaner is one thing, shampooing your carpets every month and sometimes more often is ANOTHER. I clean house for a guy and have to clean his carpets about once a month. He bought a carpet cleaner. Its not like he has kids running around his house, and he doesn't have any pets. He and his wife are in their 50's and their grandson who lives with them is 16, but its not like he plays in the dirt then stomps around the house. It looked clean before all the carpet cleaning started.
Eww. A bag on the mattress. I used to have one on there and it did keep the mattress clean, but then every time someone would come over and would lay/sit on my bed I'd have to explain to them that NO I don't have bladder problems. lol it was horrible!!!!!!! And I don't have Any allergies so its not a huge deal. I just took it off.

I REALLY need to borrow my boyfriends moms carpet cleaner. Its not a very good one but I'm sure if i went over the carpet 300 times it would at least be better. I found all natural carpet cleaner at natures pantry and I was thrilled. Hmmmm vacuuming the bed I think using the hose with one of those upholstery attachments would do. I just need a new bed in general. Back in the day about 6 years ago I had 2 really fat guy friends. They were probably about 800 + put together and they were always sitting on my bed along with about 4 other people along with me and something went snap. The fattest one goes I think I broke your bed. I'm like ahh w/e. Well it wasn't until I got ferrets and they tore a hole in my mattress and I looked under there with a flashlight i seen he snapped a board in my bed frame in half down the middle. Yippee!! Anyways sorry for rambling. I want to get this because Super-soft, microfiber fabric Triple action defense against: Dust Mites Stains Water/Moisture Zippered closure www.homedics.com/products/sleep/allergy-protection/dreamshield-mattress-protector.htmlAnd OMG I REALLY want to get these pillows!!! There are ENCASED in the dream shield stuff so it is impossible to get yucky!! And if you look at the other prices of special pillows I have seen ones that are 50 to 200 dollars that aren't even hypo allergenic! www.homedics.com/products/sleep/allergy-protection/dreamshield-microfiber-pillow.htmlI don't thing it has the baggy type plastic material. Its not THAT expensive either if you think about how your preserving the life of your mattress and your health and what not. I think my mom would think I was nuts If I asked for this stuff for Christmas. While I was looking at the site I found this too which I really like because I always have a dry nasal passage. The little scent things it comes with are derived from 100% natural botanicals and are safe to use around pets. But the refils are expensive I wonder how long they last. www.homedics.com/products/brethe-air-revitalizer.html#more-info
