Cats are obligate carnivores too and like ferrets (and dogs) a natural diet is a necessity, NOT a luxury. Cats often suffer from renal failure, peridontal disease, bladder stones, obesity, and allergies due to commercial pet foods. I encourage all Holistic Ferret members to get their cats (and dogs!) onto natural diets (just like your ferrets). Here are some videos to pique your interest. I can assist you with that as well.

Most people think that cats are picky and so many say that they're cat would NEVER eat raw. I feed the cat next door and he will eat raw, the lady I get goats from has cats who will eat raw. I went to a farm to get a sheep, when I was cutting it up a cat kept jumping all over it and started eating it... I didn't keep any of it though, I had a head cold and couldn't smell but someone else informed me it was rotten. But the cat STILL wanted it! And so did the chickens!

Zephyr wont eat mice (which is a pain in the butt!) but she will eat chicks and fish. It took her a while to start to eat bone, but she's getting it now. As an obligate carnivore, cats NEED a raw diet (just like ferrets). Zephyr hasnt had kibble since the day I brought her home and she will never eat kibble again as long as she lives. Her teeth are gorgeous, she's nice and lean, and her coat looks amazing!
