I am a person as well. Whichever level I am doing anything to if the babies are being put the bed and are still awake and I am worried about them falling out I will but them on whichever level I am not doing something with and then put the ramp up to seperate the the main rooms. So that elminates the fear or falling. As for the cold look mine only looked cold when it first came to me and that is because poor Loki her owner had bought her 2 crappy superpet hammocks (IMO) and she hated both of them. I asked her where her favorite spot to sleep was and she said on the bottom level curled up in a towel. This made me sad that she never lined the WHOLE cage with towels or blankies to make it comfortable for her first year and a half of life. Its such a nice cage why not put some old towels or blankies in there to make it COMFY for the poor girl. So i bought her a new cube hammock which she LOVES and a cuddle cup which was their favorite of course but now they have their whole new matching bedding set and it doesn't look cold at all.
