Ya thats how my two guys have gotten. They're 17 weeks and at 2 pounds each. Such a difference from when I brought them home. Hocus is really crawling up there at 2.3 pounds. You should feel him. Its like solid muscle.

Now you should go find a kibble fed ferret that is the same age as your ferret. Smell their fur, feel their muscle mass, look at their teeth, watch their behavior. You will see a HUGE difference between your baby and a kibble fed baby of the same age God I love natural diets lol

I feel bad about not mentioning Yuki, too. Yuki was alot bigger (almost a month older) than Nikko when we brought them home. She is longer and slimmer, but she is a female so I expect her to be smaller. But, I will say that she is more active and I can really tell a difference in her fur. At first she was just kinda fuzzy. Now it's getting longer and more like 'hair.' She is very strong, just not as muscular feeling. She's my war dancer and loves to tunnel under and into everything. She doesn't eat as much raw (yet) as Nikko, but I can already tell a difference. I love my babies!

Isn't it amazing the difference. Coat, smell, energy, muscle tone, all these things what make a raw fed ferret. I've had people ask how my guys have such good muscle tone, and why my house doesn't smell of ferret. I had a lady (who was turning in a pair of fuzzies) actually ask me where I kept all my furbabies. They were of course everywhere (it was mid afternoon and they were sleeping all over the place). She thought I had a heated garage and that I kept them separate from the house.... Of course you realise just where they're coming from when you handle and smell a kibble fed ferret. Poor little bums. ciao

I know what all of you mean--the ones that have been raw feed since they were babies have so much more muscle then the ones that were switched as older ferrets but even they have so much more muscle then your kibble fed ferret. Our Hydra is over 2 lbs but it is all muscle when you pick her up she is sooo much heavier then she looks, Riely and Crash are the same way.
