Hello all!
It has been a LONG LONG time since I've been here. I went MIA due to some very stressful dealings and now that it is all FINALLY over, I'm back. I still have my little Cassiel. She is doing quite well and has been eating raw her entire life. I have two cats as well which I've mentioned before though Tux may not have been around.
Anyway on to the question. I'm looking to get my cats onto a whole prey diet. Cassiel currently and forever will stay at my parents. They chose not to feed her whole prey but I sneak a pinky in there every so often. So the question...my cats readily took to raw and I'm actually switching them to raw this week (they've only had raw meals rarely) and I wanted to know about whole prey. There isn't a lot of information out there about whole prey, just raw whole prey and the like.
I want to know the best way to start them on this. I thought maybe trying my hand at feeding them a pinky to start and work my way up?
Also, they don't really explain HOW MUCH to feed. Is one mouse a day sufficient? One quail? Two? Split up? I know it's a lot to ask but I really just need a clear cut answer on how to switch my cats to whole prey and how to do it. Also, how much to feed them since I don't want overweight or underweight cats.
Thanks for the help!
