great....is Badger eating this too? now the next step is to slowly make bigger chunks until they are the size of your thumb, and of course keep adding more variety. Your very close to graduating as soon as long as Badger is on board, so let me know where she is too.

That is what I have been doing but I literally have to hold her and scruff her lightly to get her to start licking... it is ridiculous! I also had a question, is it okay to cut up chcicken wings (with the bones) to put in soup? I started doing that with the boys, but I was worried about the bones being okay or not for them to eat? Also, how is your moving dilemma going? I hope everything turns out alright!

Ok so I may have another fuzzz. If you read my thread about adding to the fam in the the general ferret discussion, it will explain. Anyways, she seems like she will be difficult! I think she has only been fed catfood. But I know how to get her started.

just keep feeding her the soup...Ill see if I can get some more help for her, but keep feeding it to her, she has to have eaten it while your not around if thats all you have out (do you keep any kibble out anymore?)
Yes you can put bones in the soup, but if they will eat them without being in soup just cut them up (I cut them in sections of 3) and just leave them out plain, they should take to this pretty well, if they havent already they need to learn to naw on the bones, which they will start to once they realize how good it is!
Thats great to hear your helping out another little one, it makes me so sad to hear when ferrets are fed cat food, its really not good for them....so I am glad your contemplating on taking her under your wing! I know she will thrive with your fuzz family!!!
The move takes place in 2 weeks! and y babies are for sure coming with me....I cant even think of parting with them!!! I think everything will go good, they just are going to have to get use to the new arrangement. Thanks for asking!!!

I wasn't leaving kibble out, but the past week I have some out for Raisin (who I am keeping btw). I posted pics of her! When you say you leave bones out, you just mean bones by themselves like a chew toy? I have seen beef bones for dog treats at the butcher's, do you think that would be ok? I know they are big, but they have hollow centers so I didn't know if it would be ok for them just to chew on?

thats great news!! Ill have to go check out the pics!! beef bones are too big for them and they could chip their teeth on them.....try any kind of chicken bone...usually I cut off the meat from around the bone of chicken thighs, the big end of chicken wings things like this.....they can eat all bones from cornish game hen which is really easy b/c theres not much preparation except cutting it into sections
Ask for chicken necks...these are a GREAT bone source too, and you can usually find them at butchers for a pretty good deal since not a lot of peoeple use them!
Oh and I only leave these bones out for a day, after that they kinda get gross (at least for me)

So they shouldn't eat the end bones on chicken wings? I wish I could find chicken necks!!! I have checked the butcher and they only ever have beef stuff. Yea I don't leave anything out for more than 12 hrs unless its hidden lol.

They can eat the end of chicken wings, but nothing larger than that....yea chicken necks are hard to come by for me too....I usually just order them from hare today online but its only a once in a while thing since it can be expensive....but when I do order I buy in bulk so they tend to last long (so this is always an option)

No, she is about the same.... unfortunately I have been soooo busy with school the past few weeks I have had little time to work with her. I have a big portfolio and presentation due on Oct. 11th which will dictate whether or not I can progress as an art major to the advanced classes and I am ssssssssoooooooooo stressed! Thank goodness it will be over then, whether I make it or not I will at least be done! Good news is that little Rasinette is taking to the raw little by little without much force from me! I really thought she would be hard. They boys have been eating turkey, chicken, and pork and I have recently tried introducing beef (ground at first). Clovis likes it, I don't think MegaWeasel loves it, but he eats it.

I have been so busy too with the move and finding a job so I totally understand...take your time! I hope you do well and can move on!!! Good luck with that!!!
Thats good, I didnt think your new little one would have very much trouble....ferrets like Badger are few and far between, although I had one like her (who had issues switching and was very resistant) so dont worry too much, just keep it slow with her
I am glad everyone else is doing well, keep up the good work!

Hahaha, I guess that is good to hear there aren't many that difficult! She is a weirdo lol, very sweet, but she seems like she has problems...Idk how to explain it, emotional problems though, maybe from her previous home...Idk.
