Greetings.
My name is Derrick (redundant I know) and I have been "lurking" for awhile now. After seeing how positive and helpful the environment and people of this site are, I decided to finally make a profile. Now, it's introduction time...
I am a University of Phoenix student who has chosen a online path to education. I'm majoring in Psychology and plan on specializing in animal behavior. Due to the weak economy, my future wife ( we want a big wedding, so we are waiting to wed until we have financial stability) and I live with my parents. Due to this fact, we cannot have any pets at all, which is ok because we don't have the money for such an investment anyway. So, I have no ferret of my own, but this will change in the future. I have had the great pleasure of interacting with ferrets. The first time I held one, I simply fell in love. My life goal is to start a non-profit shelter and rescue for small animals. I am indeed informed when it comes to many small animals, I even know a considerable amount about ferrets. As much as you can without owning one.
To prepare myself for the challenges I will face in the future, I have chosen this site as my info source for all things related to ferrets. I also look forward to befriending you all.
Thanks for reading my post.
