I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but Guili hasn't been able to keep going here at Holistic Ferret. There are a variety of very personal reasons. However, due to this, Heather and I cannot do a number of things here that we need to in order to keep this forum running smoothly. So, we've decided the best course of action is to "recreate" Holistic Ferret Forum in a new location, with a new look. As of February 01 2011, the new location for HF will be: holisticferret60.proboards.com/index.cgi?We need everyone here to sign up there as members. Your mentors will remain the same, as will the active switching threads. For those members waiting for mentors, your applications will simply be carried forward in the same order they are in here. If there are any questions, please- ASK!!! We will all still have full access to this one at our fingertips, so the information here will NOT be lost. And we will likely keep referring you back to read  However- all the threads here will be locked. I sincerely hope the new Holistic Ferrets will be as much a home to everyone as this one has been. I understand why there was a need for a new site but why the new look? Will the new site have the fun little ferret face emoticons? And I really like the New Topics feature on this site- so much easier than looking through all the threads for new posts.

The new look is because Guili paid someone a lot of money to have this one done  So- no copying with that! And WTF- try it with the iphone, and let me know what happens. As for the "new topics", we'll be getting it For those who are wondering- All new applications for mentors have been switched to the new site, and will be picked up from there. As we are able to do so, we will be copy/pasting the last page of all active switches, and transferring THAT to the new site. So, all students/mentors will have to come back here to reference earlier posts in the switch. Sorry- too much work to transfer ALL of it |

That makes me sad we can't keep this looks bc I think it is sooo cute. I am glad we have a new place though. Will everything be the same as far as posting pics and banners and what not?

Should be, yes. And I agree- this place is "home", but sometimes you've just got to move.
And just to let you know- it's another proboards forum, so everything should work the same as here.

Hey! Just a suggestion :3
Have you guys considered using a different forum software? Such as vBulletin or MyBB? They offer more themes, customization and mods. Plus it is a lot easier to create backups in case you want to move to another host so you do not need to create another new board in the future if anything was to happen :x

We decided to stay with proboards, simply because they've helped out so much with the problems we've had here, and the fact this is the format everyone is accustomed to. But thanks  That, and the fact the new one is already created, and running |

It says my name is taken when I try to create account though last night when I tried to register it froze after I hit the create account.

Have you:
Used the Forgot my password feature? When the account was created the password could have been entered wrong.
Tried logging on through a conputer? There could be some compatibility issues with the new forum and the proboards app

It was because the activation key wasn't emailed to me and thus I had not entered / known I needed one.
