Three years ago this weekend, I went into the All Pets Club in Connecticut. I had just been there the night before, because that week I'd had a dream about ferrets. I'd spent the week doing my homework and something just tugged me. The night before I'd held a darling little albino, but I watched as this grey/black bundle of energy dive-bombed into an Octoplay and defended his fortress by biting everyone else on the nose. (the store had a huge ferret play area). When I came back the next day, the little grey/black hob was sleeping soundly and I asked one of the folks there if it was okay to wake him up. The darling boy gave me sniffs, kisses, then fell asleep in my hands. I knew I wouldn't be able to leave without him. The folks there said he was the "best ferret of the bunch" and happy he chose me. In the three years since you stole my heart, we've been through much. Two moves, surgery, conversion to raw, suspicions of IBD, a misdiagnosis (thankfully) of lymphoma, pred, off pred, and a true IBD diagnosis that we're controlling through diet. Through it all, you have remained my soul ferret--the first fuzzy stealer of my heart, truster of my role as your human, and genuinely special little mobster. I love you, Paulie. You bring me dooks, mischief, thievery, snuggles, and joy. You knew exactly what you were doing in that pet store 3 years ago ... Choosing a forever human.

Beautifully done Very nice. I'm so glad that little Paulie continues to play and dook and has flipped his paw at the various traumas in his life ciao

<3 Paulie is a great little guy, and he did pick an amazing forever mom. Thank goodness for our kiddos, and I am so glad you continue to celebrate your decision.
