I am so freaking excited, the last soupie I made some how had a giant hunk of meat in it (beef butt, since Kahlua liked the last beef butt one so much i made another- this time with beef liver, which Tequila, my chihuahua/living vacuum wont eat ) Anyway so theres this big hunk in the soup that I somehow didn't cut properly (stupid not working wrist/arm) and Mojito got a hold of it. He has been eating bitty bits of meat thus far, usually rolls them around in his mouth/chews them a little and spits it back out or swallows it and then gags relentlessly.. well when he got a hold of the mother load hunk he was heck bent on eating then entire hunk. I was like "whoa whoa whoa buddy, don't choak" and I tried to take it from him to cut it up a little more and he actually pulled back and didnt want to let go. He was so upset with me over it, but was super happy when I gave the peices back. This is his first time showing real interest in raw food, I mean he has been eating some bitty bits like I said, but its usually because he isnt aloud out of the cage to play if he doesnt eat some. He never has seemed excited, just obligated. So I feel like last night was a major break through and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your help and advice thus far and to those of you who have unknowingly given advice. This is a great bored, so much info and so many supportive people. Thanks guys

Hey, that's what we're here for. But you're welcome, anyway And the next time he gets a larger chunk of meat, pretend like you are going to take it away, but let him "escape" with it. Sometimes if it's something they KNOW they shouldn't have, they are more likely to eat it

He gets so excited about soupies now that when I walk in the door when I get home from work, he stares me down till I bring them their soup. Last night ended badly (Tequila got sick after I let him have some soupie) But I put the soupie on the floor and Tequila was eating it and Mojito came over and started eating it too (even though he'd already had some) They usually bicker over everything so it was nice to see them actually share something, though I have my suspicions that Mojito was mainly doing it just to show Tequila he could and that Tequila couldnt do anything about it, either way, hes eating it and I am extatic
