I went to my local petstore today where I had gotten my two boys from. I went to check out and see if they had any new babies in..well they had one..a return she is a 1yr old, blaze and she's deaf. I think who ever brought her back did so because she bites. I felt so bad for her. I honestly would have bought her, but I tried convincing the hubby last night for a 3rd and it was a no go( to early I think). She looked so sad. When I rustled the cage a bit to wake her..she came straight up to me..I let her sniff my finger and she went in for the kill lol In all honesty why are people so mean? I know why she's there, but is it her fault that she's deaf? Makes me so sad.

That is really sad. I feel like I did a good thing buying Mr. Bean (even though I didn't realize he is deaf until I got home) I feel like if someone else would have bought him that they would have brought him back since he is a vicious little biter. I can't wait until the chicken is thawed he really needs an outlet. I have been trying to get him to bond to me. He doesn't like to be held and scruffing sets him off. He really likes the spit dribble thing and looks up at me for more. I hope you can talk your hubby into it. She needs a good raw fed home

He's saying no because I'm not working right now which is understandable. I just hope someone buys her with an understanding heart. If I was working he wouldn't have said anything.

What if you asked him to foster her until you can find her a good ferrent who is willing to care for a deaf ferret and not rehome her again and posibly feed raw?

It took me about 3 months to convince him for the two I have now. He's not easily convinced and not the animal lover I am sadly. She's a beautiful little girl. He's away for the month so I can't take him to the petstore to look at her Any of you wanting a new one?

So I'm trying to convince my hubby to let me get this deaf girl at the pet store. I think I'm getting to. Hopefully when he's convinced she'll still be there.

Meli....here's the deal! Pick her up and hold her (for a long long time) for me!!! And....when I don't show up at your door to pick her up, you will have to do the only logical thing and keep her. She would probably be bonded to your other two. Plus, you could name her Alacazam! You have to!!!! For me!!!!

Here's what I would do... Contact the pet store, tell them you are aware of the "biter" they have that was returned to them, & that you would like to "rehabilitate her", & that you are afraid that being a biter, if she goes to another inexperienced home, she would end up back at the pet store, & you are afraid she could be ultimately euthanized if she doesn't end up in an experienced home that knows how to handle her. Try to bide some time & let them know she would be going to an experienced home. Hopefully that would get you enough time, til you can get a "yes" from your hubby. =) I hope you get her! I like Alakazam too! Only I would call her "Kaz!"
