I'm just curious about the time the impl lasted? (The purpose of the the impl should be chemical castration) And what did you pay for it?

Nopes, but we could start another thread/poll for that aswell? In my case i just gave three of my ferrets their second implant. So i thought it would be nice to know how long it did last for other ferrets.

Are you ever planning to breed your furkids? How long did yours work? I'm considering this as an alternative to spay/alter but I'm still fence sitting ciao

Too much to do! No i have no intention to breed at all. So the purpose in my case is to use it as castration, and so far im more than satisfied. Theodore had his for 2½ year, Blight aswell. Baby Dru only had his for 1½. But im fine with that. It took 2-3 weeks before the smell vanished, and they returned to normal. No loss of muscles, no behavior problems. Just as happy as ever. A few weeks ago they got their second implantat, so we´ll se how long it will last this time. Theo was the first ferret in Sweden to use this chip as an alternative way to castration.
