Since the cats and ferrets share the food, I've given up on trying to keep it contained. The most common stash spots (in no particular order) are: under our bed, under their cage, behind the toilet bowls/inside the cubbies that hide our plungers/on the bathmats (2 bathrooms), 4 different feeding dens, and the corner where the stairs meet the bottom. I check 'em all when I make the daily litterbox rounds, if it's fresh it goes back in the bowl and jerky gets tossed...no use getting upset over what nature intended for them to do (especially since hardwood/tile are so easy to sanitize!). I just love when I see Akiko (my little girl) running off with most of a chicken back...I could be imagining it, but their appetites seem better when they think they're actually getting away with something

When the Foxtel (cable pay TV) guy came over a while back to hook up the digital version, he had to pull out the TV unit from the wall. Well I was so embarrassed at what we found behind it. There were egg shells, old chips and bits of meat, fish and what ever. The Foxtel guy just laughed and said "typical Australian loves steak, eggs & chips". I guess they got the egg shell & chips out of the garbage before I picked it up away from them. There was also a loofah, piece of soap and face washer out of the bathroom, so we blamed the girls for that, as I did see Bindi flying past with my loofah one night. Gotta love them

I have a series of tubes that run along the ceiling in the ferret room. They can access these from various sleep boxes, etc. Lady "B" in her infinite wisdom took half a rat and has stashed it in one of those balls (they come with the clear plastic tubes) up on top of one of the cages. There is miles of tubing between that ball and the entrance. Now, I have to dismantle the ball to get at this prize of hers You know, Katt, I think you may have serious mischief in that Kenai. How did you manage to get two of them or do they ship all the little trouble makers to Alaska ciao I must just be "lucky?" Kenai is apparently an avid digger - WAY more so than Koda. I also beleive that he may have IBD too. The more I get into it the more it seems possible. He is at LEAST sensitive to chicken along with Koda. I guess I should just be grateful that I get all of the IBD troublemakers with high care needs - Goodness only knows what shape they'd be in with someone who doesn't do their research, and feeds kibble! *shudders*
