Hey does anyone know if there are any good ferret breeders in The British Columbia area? I'm having a hard time finding any breeders. My two boys are rescues, so I'd like to have a little one to join the crew =]
So yeah, if you know of any in BC or Washington, or Alberta or even Oregon let me know! =]

I don't believe there are any reputable ferret breeders in Canada, but ferrets are becoming quite the bet out west so you may actually find one. I'm going to guess that you're probably going to have to travel to get a little one. I'm going to hope that someone posts to this that might be able to offer you some insight. You might try doing a google search, it may not lead you to one that is in your area but a lot of the breeders link their web pages with each other, or they might be able to advice you of a reputable breeder in your area. Most of the breeders are linked. You might try this www.ferrets.org/index.html They are a shelter association that is based in BC. they may be able to help you. If you go to the bottom of this breeders page there are a list of ferretries www.quantumleapferrets.com/resources.html Almost all breeders link each other on their sites ciao ciao

I know 2 reputable breeders in Washington State:
* Ferretown USA - feeds raw, many champions * leizel's Weasel's - many champions
my 4 brats (pictured in my banner below) have some bloodlines from Feretown USA. Nancy Park is the breeder, and her ferrets can be pretty big even though she doe not breed for size. I know one of her hobs is a huge six-pound sweet, cuddly "bear". You have to hold that big boy to believe it!!! My kids have been remarkably healthy, and they're nearly 6 years old.
Leizel's Weasel's has also produced some wonderful champions. The breeder is Sara Hamilton-Yotz. One of er ferrets won The AFA title for "Ferret of the Year" a couple of years ago. Her ferets are also wonderful, although don't know whether or not they're raw fed.
I would expect you can get an awesome ferret from either of these breeders.

Awesome thanks so much! Washington wouldn't be so bad, make a weekend out of it! I'd imagine I'd just have to check the laws of bringing a baby across the border into Canada.

Nancy Park of Ferretown USA has GREAT kids. If you go to Nancy's web site,you'll see a cute champagne ferret in the upper left corner. That's one of Tonto's cousins! I checked out the 2010 litter - that little jill is to die for -jennifer
