Seriously lol. I have been holding off saying anything. I had to share though. I have been lazy the last couple days since I had to put my rattie Bloo down yesterday so they have only ate the AFS. The litterbox has been a dream. No smell either. I so wish I could afford to feed freeze dried all the time. My brats didn't want any at first but i left some in a bowl with a little water on top and most of it was gone in the morning. My brats are like that with most anything they are picky about. As long as I put water or egg(we were out of egg) on it they will eat it. Anyway if you are having poop issues give this food a try. I picked up a bag for a good price at caseys hidden pantry.

Glad to hear it! My girls do very well on freeze dried as well (I use Stella's). But the stuff is very pricey! Lol

I'm really glad you posted this, I was just about to ask about AFS, so apparently their dog food niblets is okay for the ferrets.

Yep. Try to serve it rehydrated (or make sure they drink plenty of water with it) because it can dehydrate the little ferrets.

Your welcome. Heres where I bought it, I bought the 21 oz bag www.caseyshiddenpantry.com/afsbeefnib.htmlThey definitely drink more water when they eat it so make sure you give them access to plenty. - edit to add that all that items from AFS freeze dried and frozen are great for ferrets.

My poor little IBD Koda does better on freeze dried, Kenai does well too. But it is way too expensive, and it's not that great for their teeth. Besides, having bones to gnaw on is kind of a must for Koda. He's a chewer. I know that part of the reason has to do with the fiber as well. Adding some pumpkin and flax seed to their food regularly makes a big difference - you can tell when you take it out.

Actually dry freeze dried is still good for their teeth, not as good as bone in raw of course but its no where near bad like kibble is. If I could afford it I would only feed freeze dried.

Well freeze dried doesn't damage teeth like kibble but it doesn't really clean teeth either. Especially if it's hydrated.

It does actually help keep their teeth clean as opposed to kibble which doesn't at all. But the difference is you still need to brush them because they will get build up.
