OK, we all know that Tonto has disgusting potty behavior ("pottying" down the heat registers to spread his luxurious stink ). So the kids get a bath (a very RARE occurrence). Tonto get very unhappy about losing his natural smell. After he's all clean and completely dry, he pees on the tiled floor and mops up every lat drop of the urine with is belly. I pick him up and his entire belly is soaked with stinky urine. . The stew pot is out (still empty) but on the stove What a gross little beast!!!! -jennifer

Omg my ferrets always poop and pee on the air vents!! It makes me but ESPECIALLY my boyfriend FURIOUS! How do you train against this?? My boyfriend, Uriah, says that they must enjoy the feeling of air blowing up their bums! LOL. Anyway, I bought one of those plastic things that cover the vent halfway I guess to redirect the air, so I am going to see if this works. Hopefully it does bc I can deal with cleaning up poops and pee pees on the carpet or tile, but I do not like it getting where I can't clean it!! Not to mention to the pee has rusted my vents! GRRRR

Mine do it too, I had to cover one vent completely, the other I cut mesh out and put it under the vent so if they pooped on it atleast it didnt make it down inside. I just put some bleach on a rag and scrub down there as apart of my ferret room cleaning.

I dont have any vents (lucky me) because im sure my little buttheads would use the vents exclusively, maybe y ou could get a box to fit down in it with a lip on it and they might use it? i feel like if they are gonna use it you might as well use that to your advantage...

Mine have a great time using the vents too Must be a ferret thing....using the warm air to dry one's pants ... Isn't it a male ferret thing about smushing pee around so that the women find them more enticing I think I remember Odin lathering it on himself like a bad cologne Nothing like momma washing all that hard earned stink down the drain...fastest way to return the stink...pee ciao

Yes, it's the males - Tonto was not "snipped" until he was about 2 years old. He's a total "potty monster" - and he still loves to wipe his wet little weenie on everything -jennifer

Odin was 5, so he's not real good about some of his habits.... He's not bad about using the potty box though. It's Thor who just can't seem to learn how to use the box. He was altered at less than a year so he has not excuse that he's being a manly man...well fert ciao

I must be super lucky, we have vents all over the house and in over a year of mostly letting them free-roam I have never encountered this! We did once have a girl cat that liked to pee on the stove burners...burnt cat urine is the worst smell I have ever dealt with!
