That is soooo sad and terrible for everyone. Whenever those natural disasters happen I do always think about the poor little animals, wild and pet. Obviously the peope too, I just mean in addition. I will keep those families in my prayers and hope you stay safe!!

God please make the rain stop, please Thank you everyone for your prayers. The relief appeal is now $30 million dollars for victims, and Pope Benedict XVI pledged $50,000 to the "urgent needs of those affected by the natural disaster." Deadly snakes and crocodiles are looking for high ground, and are moving into homes to stay dry. Rockhampton river has peaked at 31 feet, but is likely to stay like that for about 2 weeks. The water is heading south. Gympie is the next town to be isolated by the floods. Some areas are getting rainfall of about 12" in 24hrs. It has now flooded the towns shopping centre, as well as many houses. My brother in law and family live just out of town, now it is starting to get personal. For now they are safe. Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast are next to feel the power of the water, with another 7 deaths and 5000 people evacuated from Toowoomba. My sister in law and her family are next in line, they are in a dangerous flood prone area, we need more than prayers now, we need a miracle. When and where will it end, no one knows.

This is just so tragic. I can't believe how bad it's getting, nor how long it's lasting We'll be keeping everyone in our thoughts, and praying for that miracle.

The flood has hit the Capital city of Brisbane, population approx 2 million people. Because power & water don't mix, at 7 am in the morning they are turning the power off in the city area to 100,000 homes & business'.
Total death toll is now 20, with approx 80 people still missing. Some rivers are now up to 20m or more, and washing houses away.
The floods have now entered the next state, New South Wales, my state. Major flooding is only 40km away from my sister in law now.
