I really need to loose weight...badly....right now I'm somewhere around 235 and I'm only 5 foot tall so the Dr tells me I'm morbidly obese ( I hate the way that sounds!) My goal would be to loose 100 lbs but I know that at 135 I'd look anorexic so realisticly I would like to get to somewhere between 150 and 180 that way I get to keep my curves (and my boobs) but be healthier.
I also need to learn how to say "NO" not just to my kids, I'm good at that, but to people and animals in need... I think I'm at my limit for furbabies and I'm tired of being used, abused, and taken advantage of by people that "need" or want my help they get it and then I'm left standing alone doing everything myself...yet again!
One more thing... I need to be better with managing my time! I'm currently unemployed so I stay at home with the kids and babysit a 4 yo boy...I'm home almost all day and still get nothing accomplished! I need to stop being so d**n lazy, find my motivation, and get stuff done!!!

My number one resolution is to handle school better. My first semester in grad school, and it felt like I was a hair's breadth from a melt down by the end of it! Not fun, and the next semesters are only going to get worse, but at least I know now that I have to improve my coping methods, for they are ~puny, puny things.
The only other thing - I quit smoking awhile ago, and I gained some pounds; while I weigh 120 at 5'3, my body type dictates that I weigh a bit less than that to *have* a shape. So, yeah, I'm trying to lose 10 or so pounds this year, LOL ("trying" because I am one lazy girl >;D )

Oh, I need to add school to my ever growing list.
Last semester I had a smaller course load (4 classes) and I really did slack off a bit. Next semester is a whole different story - 6 classes (3 labs) and lab research fot my thesis (which I am terrified of).
Rarnold- I wish you the best luck! Just focus and I'm sure you will accomplish all your goals. My issue is saying no to myself. I am alway thinking of new stuff to buy and just need to appreciate what I have!
Sunnyberra - congrats on your first successful semester in grad school. What are you studying?
I'm a very small person (4'10) and though my weight is fine, I'm definitely not happy with my body. I want to strt exercising and get everything nice and firm lol. Being short makes everything wider. Good luck on your goal and congrats on quitting!

I definitely need to be better about school. I procrastinate wayyyyy too much.
I'm not overweight but I am a lazy bum and I need to start getting out more. Plus the dog would appreciate getting more exercise so that's a win win.

I need to get back on the "You are What You Eat" lifestyle. I've been slowly eating stuff I shouldn't the last couple months and have been paying the price. Been popping allergy pills gained some weight, been sluggish, skin on my face is red super dry and itchy. Real food is definately my friend. I've learned my lesson, lol. And I definately need to get exercising.

rarnold, I'm right there with you. I need to lose weight. I lost some over the summer and my goal is still 100lbs, but my progress has def. slowed with the stress of the move and school. I need to find a way to make it all work. That's my resolution.

Mine are simple, yet should be interesting in trying to implement! 1) GET ORGANIZED!!! I run my own housecleaning business, but hate "paperwork", even when it's on the computer. So.....it sometimes lags. For a few months, before I reach panic mode and get it all done over the course of several hours 2) Try, once again, to kick a 40+ year smoking habit One of my quitting kicks was the idea of going camping, by myself, for two weeks with no cigarettes(didn't do it). A very good friend quipped "I can see the headlines now. Grizzly bear killed by woman in campground!"

I hope you reach your resolutions, sherrylynne. I need to decide to quit and just do it, but I fear that it'll have to be after my weight loss. I can't imagine smoking for that many years, but I could see how it could easily become a reality. Good luck and keep us posted!

It'll be interesting I'm going to try the nicorette inhaler again. That's what I've had SOME success with in the past.
