I posted earlier about how I'm looking for a FN on Craigslist but I do have a major concern: ADV. What do you use to clean the cage? I would hate to get a brand new (to me) nifty cage, only to find that I've accidentally infected my guys.

From what I've read, you can clean it with a bleach solution, but am not completely certain.

When we got ours, we cleaned it with a watered down bleach solution, and washed that off very well. Got everything clean-bleach does kill bacteria, it is my understanding.

I would give it a good scrubbing with Dawn dish detergent to get rid of the oil build up on the bars and such and then give it a good dousing with bleach....I would be inclined to bring the cage outside, and to use a spray bottle with straight bleach and cover it good with the bleach...then let it air dry and then you can go over it with a 1:10 bleach to water ratio, rinse and dry... That's what I would do...dawn, straight bleach, and then bleach solution....

As I'm sure you know already, ADV can be harder to kill than other viruses. Left sitting on it's own(surfaces not cleaned), it's been detected 2 years and more after ferrets have been removed. But yes, bleach is supposed to kill it.
