I finally get me a weasel today. But I ran into a little problem...I had a few chicken wings sitting in the fridge for him for dinner when we got home. Well turns out them my parents grilled them up for dinner haha. But I do have some ground turkey with chunks of beef liver mixed in. It is for my tegu, but I haven't added any calcium powder to it, so it's just the ground turkey and beef liver. I was wandering if I could offer this to him tonight for dinner and get out and get him some chicken wings tomorrow? Would this be ok, or a bad idea?

Honestly I don't see why not - the ground turkey/liver might give him a bit of loose stool (richness) - and as long as it's not an overwhelming ratio of liver to meat, then you should be good to go hopefully, someone else will weigh in, too, though! Also - on the new addition!

Since it's his first night home, I'd be tempted to just offer the ground turkey. You can try him with the liver, certainly won't hurt if he takes it, but beef liver is an awfully strong flavour, and some just don't like it

Maybe if the liver wasn't mixed in he'd be ok with it. The other batch of ground turkey I have is mixed with cod liver oil, so I don't have any pure turkey. ...I may have to go around looking for places that are open at this time.

Did you make a soupy with it or did you just feed it dry? I've found that the little ones sometimes like their new foods more moist. It's just a thought ciao

I'll definitely try that tomorrow if he still doesn't wanna eat the chicken that I'm gonna pick up...I think he wore him self out, he was playing hard from the moment he was home lol. And pics are coming.
