Heart, liver, organs...etc...
I basically have a Krogers and a Marsh. Where do you guys go for those meats that is mentioned so heavily?
And I have read a lot about bones but I feel that maybe I'm missing something. Do I grind up the bones and supplement or am I letting the fert just have at it?
I know with whole prey and chicken wing tips, it's a go at it mindset but what about the bones that are on say beef or pork? Do you guys feed pork meat? HAHA.

Not a problem keep asking away First, as for bones, they can generally eat any bone chicken sized or smaller. There are some exceptions, like turkey necks, etc. Try giving her a wing and see how she does with it. It will also help with her teething. You might have to slash some of the meat on the larger portion so she can get a good grip on it. There is no need to grind up bones for them when they are "edible" bone. Pork and beef bones are generally not. Nor are most weight bearing bones, but it does them good to tear the meat away from these themselves. As for pork, my guys adore it Hearts, livers, etc. are usually available in the freezer section of the meat department. You might have to watch for them and grab up several packages when they come out, though.

Grocery stores generally carry hearts and gizzards packages, and chicken liver/beef liver (I've seen those at my stores). More variety in organs is great though, and sometimes regular chain stores offer different stuff. Keep an eye out for that, and check for a butcher's shop in your area and go in in person and ask around (sometimes people will get good deals doing that).
All else fails (selection's poor, etc) you can do what I do - order online. I only shop at the store for cgh, gizzards and boneless turkey breast.
You can grind bone or you can leave whole. I have both (commercial ground mix and regular RMBs - cgh, duck/chicken necks, rabbit, quail).
With bigger boned animals, ferrets aren't going to be able to use the bone for anything besides stimulation (for fun). They can't shear those dense bones. Stick with smaller boned animals for the nutrition aspect of it, but you can give them boneless beef/pork, and bigger bones as stimulation (although some determined ferts can crack teeth on them if they don't want to give it up as a lost cause).
I've fed beef, but not pork (yet). Beef generally gives my guys the runs and it's not their fav. but stewing chunks are not veto'd completely.

Mine love beef and pork! Also, I do have to cut up wings into a couple of pieces so that they can manage them better-the bigger pieces often get stashed, and barely get picked at.

I feed just about everything! For dinner my crew had pork kidneys and some lamb ribs, yummy! For the most part they won't be able to get through the larger rib bones but the smaller softer bones they do, the bones that they don't eat I toss to my dogs (I don't like waste!) If you have a walmart superstore near by they should sell chicken hearts, livers, and gizzards in little yellow and blue Perdue tubs in the regular meat aisle. Everyonce in a while they'll have pork liver... When I feed rabbit, quail, duck, cornish game hen, or chicken, they'll eat just about all the bone, except the drumstick bone from the chicken. The ground mixes I have access too do have bones ground into them.

With something like wings, at the age she's at now, I think I'd start getting her accustomed to you hooking her food onto the side of the cage, or in a feeding den. That way, there's some resistance for her to tear "against", and she can have a grand old time with it

I buy cornish game hens at walmart for $2.58 each They have packs of chicken gizzards with hearts for like $1.60 for a lb. They also have little tubs of chicken livers for around $1.80 They have beef liver too but I have never bought it, its like 3 lbs really cheap. They have 3 lb packs beef kidney and heart both which i have bought before but it is annoying to cut it all and bag it. I never buy chicken meat/bone anything from wal-mart it is all way to expensive or crap quality. I buy ground beef if I have to, i get the kind with the highest fat content which is also the cheapest. I prefer to buy it from food city or kroger.
For chicken wings I buy from Kroger or Food City. I used to get these packs of chicken leg quarters, 10 lbs for like $5. Lots of meat great if your really broke but its a pain for me to cut as all i have is crappy kitchen sheers. I don't really feed them chicken breast anymore because the bulk of their diet is CGH and they get a lot of muscle meat already along with some ground beef.
I found chicken feet at save a lot (next to big lots ) they have deals there buy like 5 of any meat packs for 25 bux. I only went there once though my sis took me.
I have not found chicken neck anywhere but the guy at food city said they get them in sometimes.

I shop at Krogers too, so I know what you mean about them having crap variety.
If you have an asian store in your town, that's your best bet for your organs. They tend to be cheap, and you can almost guarantee that there won't be any additives. I actually just went there last night and picked up duck heart, as well as quail and a whole rabbit.
Walmart is another good bet. They usually have beef liver/hearts/kidneys.

Ooh, I wish there were something like that here in Berea, Lynxie. Alls I got is a Sav-A-Lot and Wal-Mart. Occasionally, I can afford frozen mice but that's about it. The furkids have limited options for heart and organ meat, so I have to supplement taurine.
