I use fish oils, a mixture of fish oils and virgin olive oil (they hate the whole olive oil thing, so I mix ), pumpkin (this is mixed with a ground mix that I feed) and cod liver oil (they get this about once a month) I haven't used ferretone in years and I only use ferretlax in emergencies. ciao

I do use it occasionally, maybe 1-2 times a month. After I get through this bottle though, I'll try and use a different oil.
I buy human-grade salmon oil 1,000 mg capsules for my cats and they get 1-2 a week each, I just puncture it and drizzle, and when it gets on my hands whoo-eeee. So this is a really great idea - I never liked the smell of Ferretone on my hands, either. Where do you get the hypodermic needles?
I work in a chemistry lab, so we have boxes of sterile needles and syringes. But i think any medical supply store should carry them. Like the ones diabetics use to inject their insulin

Personally I buy everything online. Amazon usually has the best prices.

I pick mine up at the grocery store, or the local raw feeding pet food store, or the health food store.
