Try hand feeding him a bit. I would do that before just cutting him off. If he's not eating it you could find yourself dealing with a very sick ferret and still not getting him to eat. Check out the mentoring program threads for hints and suggestions. There's a lot of really good information there even if you don't need a mentor ciao

I found with mine, if I removed the kibble several hours before trying the soup, it really helped, as it gave an "edge" to their appetites, without going hardcore.

I gave them kibble last night, and hand fed Tripp 4 heaping teaspoons of soup this morning. He likes it but wont eat it out of the bowl =( Plus Tripp eats ALL of the soup in the bowl!! He's a little piggy. So I guess I will continue feeding Tripp off the spoon and try to transition him to the bowl. 4 + teaspoons is enough for one meal, right?

It's definitely a good start Congratulations. Try slowly moving the spoon toward the bowl until he's eating off the spoon in the bowl. Some are just into the special snuggle time ciao

Tripp will eat his soup out of the bowl if i stand over him but I'm not sure if he is eating throughout the day. Should I leave kibble out for them at night until I know for sure he is eating?

I think I would, until you know he's eating well. One of mine had to have my hand on his back for eating out of the bowl when they were first switched. It seemed to give some comfort and support. And it worked It also kept him from dashing away

Well it's not going so well. Tripp still doesn't SEEM to be eating the soup well, but Toki is. Should I separate the two for a while and see if he is?

I wouldn't separate them as some of the eating experience is done by a "monkey see, monkey do" type of philosophy. That being said I would try to hand feed Trip to get him over the whole aversion thing. It may be the texture of the new soupy that has him a little off his food. ciao

Don't forget- it does take some a lot longer to decide they actually like this stuff. One of mine took 6 weeks before he would eat the soup on his own, and then it seems like it was almost overnight that he went to chunks!

Excellent news! Congrats Just keep them going, and maybe start introducing some bone to them. Chicken wings are a good starter, as is cornish game hen.

I offered them some chicken wings tonight, one cut up in their feeding box, the other suspended from a shelf. Also gave them some cut up chicken heart. Tripp at the whole heart but Toki didn't want anything to do with it. I am worried they aren't getting enough taurine. Last night I gave them some quail pre-mix with liver (1lb quail w/ bone to 4-5 oz liver is the ratio). They didn't seem to like it too much =/ I am very worried about doing this correctly.

If you are concerned about the taurine intake, pick up some capsules of taurine. Sprinkle it into the mix and feed that. They can, however, go for a few weeks with no ill effects.
