lol!!! I thought of making a tree with ferret gifts and treats hanging for them to snatch and take away. It would be an awesome thing for them to play on

Unbreakable tree decorations are an absolute must Your guys look like they're having a blast in their new "toy". They're some really cute pics. I have my tree up but not decorated....I find if I leave it naked for a week or so they're less likely to steal my decorations . They're already bored with it. I noticed that Fun-Go is the only one still climbing it now....my guys are all getting old They don't want to climb the tree any more. My real tree-climbers....Ghenghis, Mad Max, Porthos, Mayhem...they're all gone now Napoleon can't get his fat butt off the floor much less up the tree. He's not much into heights Captain Jack and Natasha climbed the tree the first couple of days but they're bored with it now. Fun-Go is the only persistent tree climber but in previous years he's always the one to raid my little decorator bear decorations and stash them around the house. ciao

Well, so far the only ones to NOT find out how to climb it are Willow and Miss Emily. But then again- Miss Emily is such a squish this year I was going to just put up a "naked" tree for a week or so, but just kind of got carried away I figured they'd get bored with the naked tree, then when I put the decorations on, they'd just start all over again So- this way they get bored with it long before Christmas(I hope!!!), and I'll have a semi decent, semi decorated tree for Christmas Didn't think Vincent would get that lard butt up there either as he's 3 1/2 lbs this year(never topped 3 before ), but he did it- even if only in the bottom branches! And they can all figure out how to get back down safely, too Only one who wanted some help is Boris- of course

Ooh, I wish I could let ours on the tree, but I absolutely have to let my room mate have some things ferret free. The poor guy puts up with scratching at his door in the early morning and nipping his feet as he walks by. They adore him, and he loves them, but we all put the tree up together, and so the ferrets have to stay out of it this year, their first Christmas. Next year, we'll be living on by ourselves, so that'll be one thing on my to do list. I'd love to have ours in the tree!

we use a real tree too, but i do not let the monster get near it. We put the tree inside one of those marshalls, octogon shaped play pens. We figured she can't get out of it when we use it outside, so she can't get in to climb the tree either. The one time we let her in, she stuck her head down the water bucket part of the tree stand and came out with tree sap all over the top of her head. She had a spikey mohawk for days.
Don't you guys worry about the lead content on the christmas lights? All the lights i've ever owned say to wash your hands after even handling them in the warning section on the box.
