So I just got done making Bosco (aka Bear) and Mischa (aka Rockie) Mixed raw baggies for meals/raw soups until they graduate to bigger chunks.. They are fine with all the meats I used. No issues. This is the 1st time I have made bagged meals for them and I have never mixed different meats. I still need to figure out what days I will feed which bags to them and what amount. I only had a certain amount of bags (8) Some of the bags with more ingredients can make 4 meals.
Can I defrost and take out a meal and then freeze again?
Here are the bags and what I put in. Let me know if this sounds good until I run out or get more at some point.
Bag 1- 1 chicken heart, 1 chicken gizzard, boneless chicken breast w/rib meat in chunks, ground turkey, beef tenderloin steak in chunks. ADD: eggshell, oil, water
Bag 2- 2 chix gizzards, ground turkey, BL (boneless) chix breast w/rib meat in chunks, beef ten. (tenderloin) steak in chunks. ADD: eggshell, oil, water and heart
Bag 3- 2 chix hearts, 2 chix gizzards, ground turkey, BL chix break w/rib meat in chunks, beef ten. steak in chunks. ADD: eggshell, oil, water
Bag 4- 3 chix gizzards, ground turkey, BL chix breast, w/rib meat in chunks, beef ten. steak in chunks, ADD:eggshell, oil, water and heart
Bag 5- 2 chix hearts, 2 chix gizzards, ground turkey, BL chix breast w/rib meat in chunks, beef ten. steak in chunks, ADD: eggshell, oil and water
Bag 6- 3 chix gizzards, ground turkey, beef ten. steak in chunks. ADD: eggshell, oil, water, liver and kidney
Bag 7- 2 chix gizzards, ground turkey, beef ten. steak in chunks. ADD:eggshell, oil, water and heart
Bag 8- 3 chix gizzards, beef ten. steak in chunks. ADD: eggshell, oil, water, liver, kidney and heart
A lot of them have the same kind of meat. Some more some less. After the heart and gizzards I tried to put the highest amount to the lowest. I want to use Salmon oil for the oil. Feel free to tell me what days I should use the bags.
Do I need to use eggshell every day? I would like to get some bone meal instead of using the eggshell. Is bone meal better than eggshell?
I want to feed them heart everyday b/c I know that Taurine is very important and I don't want to risk it and I now that you can't give to much of it to them.
Thank you for all your help and your support
