Yeah, I've got my hands full, but I wouldn't want it any other way! If DH would let me have more skin kids I would have a whole bunch more, but he says we're done though, I am hoping that whenever he does get his liver transplant and becomes healthy again that he might reconsider being "done"! Untill then I will keep my hopes up and keep my furbrats spoiled (and the skin kids too!) As for the dog bowls, if they aren't already, could you get a stand to set them in? Or maybe even get a box or peice of wood to cover them when they are not in use?

Sherrylynne- that is so true! Haha, but I almost might prefer tiny little teeth over slobber...... nah. I do love the slobber. haha! Rarnold18- My dogs are both 10 pounds each so putting the bowls in a stand really won't make much of a difference, except that she wouldn't be able to pull them to her but that isn't a really big deal cus they're always empty (except for the .005 seconds it takes for my dogs to devour their meals ), and now, always clean. hehe. But I might consider some sort of device to keep her from them and the water... my husband and I are discussing moving the water bowl to the entry way or our bedroom (there will be baby gates up preventing her from getting to either of those places and we can buy a baby gate that has a little door on it so i can let the dogs follow me wherever I go like they usually do just in case they need a drink of water.. or to escape from the baby for a few minutes. haha!) We'll see what happens though, silly child. You'll have to excuse me, I'm not sure what DH stands for although I immediately went to "Da Husband".. hmmm. I'm sorry to hear that your hubby is in need of a Liver Transplant.. I will keep him in prayer. I'm sure it's hard having to be "done" having the skin kids My hubby says we're done with just the one... haha! Is he in for a big surprise! Yes, keeping the skin kids (I've never heard that term before but I like it!) and the fur kids spoiled is top priority for us! We're all so blessed to be able to have these skin/fur kids in our lives. And hubby's too.

Something else to keep in mind (sorry if this was already mentioned!) is that in the wild, ferrets will stash their food in hidey holes (dirt, leaves, bugs, germs...) for days and days before eating it sometimes. They are not harmed. They tend to have very strong immune systems for the most part, and the raw diet just makes it stronger. Plus, their stomachs are super acidic and kills most anything off. Not to mention, that as long as you provide fresh food and change out old meat, there isn't really an issue to start with. Oh yes, want to add as well that meat actually takes a while to go bad on ferret terms. It will dry up before it really starts to rot, and if it is bad, they will usually not eat it anyways. They prefer it fresh, or jerkified, but not bad. I hope that helps and I am not repeating people too much! haha

As for cleaning up litter boxes daily, I just scoop like I do with my cat's boxes, and it goes in the garbage. I try to wash down the entire cage weekly when I change bedding, using a 50/50 mix of vinegar/water. As for plates? This is about what they are good for OMG thats so funny!!
