I have two wire cages( the small squares mesh heavy duty not coated) that my husband built that set in a wood stand independently. They both have metal trays that pull out for easy cleaning. Each cages is 2' d 2'h 3.6' l.. my question is I want to connect they together.. can I use funnel tubing and cut holes in the side of my cages and connect them that way or is there a better way? I will try to get pics of the cage and the stand.. my daughter is the photographer and she is not avail yet.

As long as the tunnel is secure, that should work. You could even set them one on top of the other, since most ferrets seem to prefer height to width, since they enjoy climbing!
