Hello, my name is Ashley. My husband told me that I can do the raw diet as long as it doesn't get to expensive. Yay I have 2 ferrets Rockie is a 1yr. old female and Bear is about 9 mo. male. I made them the raw soup that I read about on here and Bear likes it somewhat and Rockie takes a few licks but is like what is this? I think they will get used to it. They licked it off of a spoon the 1st day they tried it. I have done a lot of reading up about this on this site and I just have a few questions that I haven't found answered yet. My questions are: How much meat, organs and stuff should I give them in each meal? What is your meal plan set up? Can I put different meats into the raw soup? Please add anything else you think I may need to know. Thank you

Congratulations! Do you have any idea how much of a hurdle you just passed with these two As for a meal plan, general is 4 days(8 meals) a week, bone in meats(chicken wings, turkey necks/ribs/wing tips, same for duck, rabbit, whole prey, to name a few). 2 days(4 meals) muscle meats(hearts, pork, beef, lamb, goat, etc- any meat with no bone). 1 meal a week liver/other organ(approx 2oz of each). The other meal that day whichever you prefer. I gave bone in or whole prey those days. You can make a raw soup out of basically any raw meat, but only introduce one at a time, in case there are any sensitivities. That way you know which meat caused it. Those are your basics, so you have an idea where you are headed! You can either sign up for a mentor, or start a thread in the newbie questions of the forum Good luck!
