Time to Update!
So the male is fine. Fecal matter is consistently normal. I gave him pepto 4 times a day (.25 teaspoons) and that alone solved his problem. I made duck soup (http://www.trifl.org/makingravy.shtml) for both of them, and they wouldn't have anything to do with it. Evie tried it then wouldn't touch it after that. Sam, wouldn't even dream of it until I forced fed some of it. After a very quick battle between the two of us I let it go. I tried it both warm, room temp, and cold with no response. Although, on the up side. They are eating the drenched kibble. I've been mixing it with .33 cups of kibble and 2 - 3 tablespoons of water. They are pretty accustomed to that now. Other than that, not much new.

Well good, Im so glad it turned out well for him! just make sure to continually keep an eye out though for abnormal looking stools Im not surprised they wouldnt eat the soup, mainly b/c they havent had a chance to get use to the taste of real meats haha....so dont be too frustrated about it, it will come in due time Another thought with the soups (just a suggestion).....I used nupro (or you can use uncle jims duk soup) mixes and started off with just this mix with water and oil and my guys went crazy over it ( you can get these mixes at any large pet store chain, or on drs foster and smith online) Keep up with the wet kibble, if they seem to have no problem with eating it regularly then slowly you can start to add in some ground chicken.....but just use a very little portion at first...what I would suggest it putting maybe like a tbls of ground in some warm water, stir it up in the water then drench the kibble with the meat/water mixture....if they dont take to it within a day then go back to the kibble and water only for another day or two, then after that do the water/meat mix again but this time with only a tsp....the key is small amounts slowly Oh and in the water/meat mixture you can add in some oil or nupro/duk soup mix.....whatever they like, this will help them out extra Good luck and keep me updated!

Sorry, my band has been in the studio 14 hrs a day for close to a week. Tomorrow I'm going grocery shopping and I will be picking up ground chicken.

Alright, things are going well. Both are eating the kibble soaked in chicken broth. I boiled water and chicken together and cut up the chicken into bite size pieces. At this point I'm feeding them 1/4 cup kibble, three tbs. chicken broth, 1 tbs chicken 1/2 tsp salmon oil once every 14 hrs or so. Next week I'll give less kibble and more chicken.

Perfect! This is a good routine, and yes you can start to slowly up the chicken and lessen the kibble...but if they dont take to the more chicken and less kibble its ok to take a step back, but your guys seem to be well on their way!

Have you upped the chicken and lessened the kibble yet? if so, how did they take to it?

Yeah we have. We did some experimenting with the texture of chicken. They don't take well to the finer ground chicken. They like chunkier pieces of meat, which I would take as a good sign. Things are going well... This week I would like to sub out half of the kibble for chicken. We'll see how it goes.

The feedings have gone really well this past week. This coming week I plan to go back to larger chunks of chicken. I'm estimating that the meals are 3/4 chicken now. Almost there!

Thats great! good job! Now what I wanted to mention is that when you get into the bigger chunks...to make them more appetizing you can ground up kibble and roll the chunks in the kibble, sort of like a breading, this tends to help entice them If this all goes well, let me know where you currently stand after a few more feeding and we can then start to work on adding some more variety of meats into their diet

Hows it going...have they moved onto larger pieces alright?

Yeah they did. They seem to prefer pieces around the size of my thumb nail. They're willing to eat strictly chicken. So what's the next step? Different type of meat? Raw? Also, I wanted to make home made treats for them. Dehydrated pieces of chicken, do you think that will be alright?
Thanks!

yes you can make dehydrated treats like that, you can make dehydrated liver treats too, this is good for them
the next step is other raw meats (i.e. beef, pork, turkey, rabbit, duck, etc...) whatever you can find, tell me how they do with a new meat
