Nothing special to do really. You can train them to hand signals once you get there attention. You can do that by stomping the floor, or by using a light. Deafies can startle easier, especially if you grab them up from behind if they don't know you are there. Otherwise, they are the same as any other ferret

I bought some piglets for my dog, If you aren't too sqweemish, You can getr them for the ferret. (the dog wouldn't eat them and he was my last hope before I rehomed them to a new rawfed house.)
There is a raw food supplier (courtlyn custom dog food - Jodie& Matthew Calfat - Cell: 780-603-5143 they travel arond alberta, and have some good deals on some things that are harder to find. They also have good prices on turkey hearts. I think I just bought 20lb of turkey hearts for 12.15? give or take)

Okay thanks Mr. Bean was such a turd this morning. I had 10 mins before my alarm went off and he kept digging and making a heck of a noise. All I could do was laugh! Every once in awhile he'd stop and look up at me. What a silly way to wake up.

Thanks I'll give them a call probably at the end of the month. I live 5 mins for a store called T&T Superstore, its an Asian store and they have AWESOME meat selection and its for the most part over the counter talking with the butcher! I'm going to stop there either tonight or tomorrow to get some stuff for duck soup, once I have it made Mr. Bean is going to start that and work up. I applied for the Mentor program so I hope to have started the duck soup by the time I get my mentor.

They also have an e-mail courtlyncustom@gmail.com Whole prey is super easy, and kind of fun. More expensive though. Here is a picture of the two of them working on it. Chloe doesn't like whole prey, So I tried it with Sly, He went to stash it. Yesterday, I went to train Chloe and left Sly out with his cage open, He jumped in, and stashed the pig - under the couch we think... but this picture was taken a few days ago.. The only part left is the front legs and head attached by just skin.. gross.. but easily moveable for the little bugger =[ Attachments:

OMGosh! Thank you. I have notice that I can open my bedroom door, walk to the cage, open it and he doesn't wake until I start petting him. And I have yet to hear him make any noise, but I think its to early to know anything for sure. I'll keep reading up on that. Thank you so much And just an FYI I would have taken him even if they told me he's deaf. My oldest guinea pig is blind and has arthritis. I have nothing against things like that because it makes them even more special. <3 No problem! It sounds like you are doing a fantastic job, and he has a wonderful new home. I am glad you brought him into your family and I know your life will never be the same again. You can't go without those fury faces after you've had them once! Oh, and Watch out for ferret math! (hehe funny typo - the first time I typed that it said Ferret Meth... I can only imagine a ferret on drugs...heaven help us all the day that happens! )

Oh I know all about adding more and more when it comes to pets, I started out with one guinea pig now I have 7. Oooohhh yes. See I started by rescuing 2 mice from a friend who could not have them in her dad's house. It was me or a snake. Well now I have an iguana, a snake (potentially soon to be 3 snakes if my roommate actually follows through and joins the N.Guard, and I got my bf set up with a snake of his own), one ferret (and every intention of getting another), a hamster, several fish w/ a dwarf frog in one tank, and two mice colonies...I am now breeding mice for food for the other critters... ironic, yes?

Very much so, I used to breed Mice for my mom when she was breeding ball pythons. But that was 5 years ago.

I'm going to try and get out today to buy some elastic for the shelf so I can make this: rattributes.com/tutorial/linersimple.htmlThen I'll be set
