Well Giuli moved my mentor review thread to Newbies Archive. I will definently stay around, but I'm not sure I'll be much help to people as Oliver just took his meat like that. Didn't have to do anything special really. Just gave him meat and he ate it. Took a while for him to eat the bone, but he did that on his own too. Sooooooo......... probably just stick around for my questions and to talk to you guys !

Well, its not just what you've learned from switching to raw.. But the knowledge you've got from everything you've read. And a lot of people have this misconception that you can throw an animal some raw meat and that is 100% complete, but you know better. And if someone out in public asked you what you feed your ferret, you can tell them and explain how it works. Now you know what the best diet is, the best meat, bone and organ ratios, etc. There is plenty that you can share with others. -~Ketlin

That's true. I haven't completely switched yet, but I will still try to help out others just from information I have picked up here and there. Besides, if you ever get another ferret, he or she may not switch as easy. Sticking around and chatting here will give you all the info you need to assist you in your future ventures!

True. I did learn a lot that I didn't need to use..... yeah I'm still gonna stick around and bug you guys with my questions! Not going to get rid of me that easy! hehe! Its always good to pop in and make sure that you are feeding the correct diet. You might see a new meat at the store an wonder if it is okay to feed, or Oliver might refuse to eat a certain food and you'll want to ask why. And as Jasmine (buzzonesbirdie) said, this is the place to talk about EVERYTHING ferret. As more time goes by, you will learn about this diet. The ins and outs. Even though oliver switched quickly, you can still help others out. You can learn and then tell others: 1. How a ferret's body digests meat 2. Exactly WHY kibble isnt the best food out there 3. The benefits of a natural diet 4. The answers to common questions (will my ferret get salmonella? Wont they choke on the bones? How long can meat sit out? Will meat make my ferret mean? etc) You can still help other newbies learn, but to do that you have to keep learning, keep reading about natural diets. One way to stay "on top" of things is to keep coming and posting here. If you ever have a question, ask. Its the best way to learn
