so i had just given Ben his hunk of goat.... and just then these guys show up to work on my internet connection(i have to use my moms computer next door) i had forgotten all about Ben and his leg-o-goat when i look up and see the guys just standing at the corner of my house staring at something ... kinda horror struck.......... "Oh thats just Ben, let me move him somewhere else... i just fed him so you probably dont want to be near him" "WHAT was THAT??" goat! he loves it! and it he cant eat kibble bla bla bla same stuff i told them about the ferret when they noticed mice on the porch (blank stares from them) yeah those awkward moments.... and best of all i KNOW they are going to notice one of my goats isnt in the pen out back lol my doe was bullying him and wouldnt let him eat out of any of the food troughs so i moved him to the other side of the property..... they probably think i sacrificed the little fella - they were admiring how cute he was last week! bet they think i'm a real psycho now

AWESOME!!! My mil and I used to go to the slaughter house in Seville and get huge trash cans of beef bones and innards... BIL made this hoist so we could clean the tripe with out having to bend over....of course the hoist was in the tree in the front yard...oh yeah...the neighbors loved it (*note my sarcasam)...so much that one of them actually jumped out of her truck and started to threaten my MIL, who had a rather large knife in her hand, screaming and yelling....crazy wack-a-doo, can never keep her nose out of other peoples busines. Most of the people stopped and asked questions, one even offered MIL cash to clean any deer he managed to bag along with keeping the stuff that he wouldn't use... the wack-a-doo actually called the cops 17 times in a 2 hour period, they'd come out and then leave, we weren't doing anything wrong. Then she called code compliance and they told me the flies were a nusance because of the garbage cans and the "dead bodies" I was pissed...had them come back to the house and show me the dead bodies, they pointed to the garbage cans and I asked them if they actually looked inside and they admitted that they hadn't taken the lids off, they were afraid of what they might find...I was furious to say the least and I walked over to the cans and flipped the lids off and yelled what bodies!?!?!?! there were never anything in there and all there was in the can was some leaves, an empty water bottle and some water from that afternoons rain... they corrected themselves but let me know that the flies that accumulate around garbage cans can be considered a nusiance and I would be fined $100 a day if I didn't fix the fly problem... umm this is Florida, flies are a fact of life, it gets hot and even plain ole regular garbage gets stinky...f'n idoits.... I know the neighbors behind me are horrified when I bring home live quail home for the dogs, we take them out one at a time and let a quail go the dogs get to chase the quail and then eat them...they love it and luckily the neighbors behind us havent complained....yet...

yikes!! sooooo glad i moved out of town four years ago! i've done my own butchering on occasion but i try to keep that a backyard activity lol thankfully there is 200 acres of hunting leased land and not likely to square off with anyone who cant mind their own business worst thing that can happen is a hunter come out of the woods when i shoot my own squirrels... "Er... we're trying to hunt.... can ya keep it down??" lol Ben says he wants to come live with you guys i wont let him chase the birds! last time he did that we had duck for dinner, and while it was a very very good duck dinner..... it was also my last egg layer lol

Chaos and Fagan LOVE chasing birds and I'm sure if given enough room would actually catch them especially those white birds with the yellow hooked beaks that roam around in flocks of 10+ I swear they come here just to torment the dogs!! So about once a month they get to have a treat, the quail (can't remember which type) aren't supposed to fly very much just short spurts and not much higher than 6-7 feet so the dogs enjoy it. They are quick to dispatch what they catch and don't torture or try to play with them so I'm ok with it. The few times I've taken the dogs to the coast they've loved it and chased every bird in sight, including a very grumpy pelican that chased them!

mine like to chase the dove that populate the area lol so far no ones caught anything - and my youngest pup thinks its her mission to chase every crow out of the horse's pasture(i still havent figured out why they are attracted to the horse pasture unless they are eating the seeds out of the manure??) the duck situation was kinda funny if not a little pathetic..... this duck had been just fine in her duck pen for four months until one day she decided to go out for a stroll.... and wandered right into the white spotted alligator. i happened to pass by a window just in time to see this (Ben looking all charming and innocent, waiting for the duck to come within striking range.... and she did!) i threw open the window and yelled at Ben to drop it, and he did!(i'm tellin you, he is not normal for a bulldog!) i was hoping against hope that she'd be alive, maybe slightly injured.... but alas, t'was not to be though we found out that night muscovy duck bares a striking resemblance to beef!
