I actually had a friend in grade school whose mother locked her and her brothers in the dog crate when they misbehaved. I was slightly horrified but who am I to judge?

lol thats my fear, if i ever did that, they'd probably remember it forever and ever and hate me for it and develop complexes and fear small spaces! however.... there were a few funny moments when one brother would lock the other brother in the crate and run away the moment the other noticed he couldnt get the door open! i know they say you shouldnt let the kids play in the dog's crate, that its his home and safe place etc..... but Sparta the bull dog hardly cared lol to him it was like having friends over to visit and share toys

My older little sister used to lock our little sister in Mercedes' crate all the time, used to torture her, even stopped calling her by her given name and started calling her Curtis...the sad thing, Curtis has stuck and we all address her as Curtis now. My FIL's ex-wife used to lock her kids in the dogs outside kennel so she could get extra sleep on the weekends. She wasn't and isn't very nice and I'm amazed that those kids were never taken away...maybe that's why the three of them have a total of 10 kids w/7 different baby daddy's?
Though I tell you, Abigail as sweet and innocent as she looks and is, she can be a demon child! Just the other night we were comming home from dinner with my Dad and she annouced to all of us "I'm grumpy, don't talk to me, leave me alone!" ummmm she's 2 1/2! I'm dreading her as a teenager!

LOL! thats like my youngest son he's either your best buddy or worst enemy and you never know which side the coin will land on! today he was a trip though he found my horse sim games on the pc and i thought there was no harm in letting him play for a bit...... both of my boys do home school online and they like it but its easy to pry them off for what ever reason..... well, lunch time came around so i warmed up some pizza, poured some juice, told him he had to eat in the kitchen (yay i get my computer back for ten minutes!) but he says "Ok but you cant turn off my horse school!" .. erm... yeah.. i can. "Noooo you cant! i want to eat at the computer" No, you'll eat at the table like always and i'm going to use the computer until you're done. he glares, sits down, takes a few chomps... and i leave the kitchen to check messages. i no sooner shut off the horse game when he came tearing around the corner, pizza in his fist, yelling at me to stop! naturally i did not. and then came the theatrics! howling, crying, stomping... then.... "I cant have pizza!! Its Dog FOOD!" and i heard the backdoor slam shut. that little turd threw his pizza to the dog in pure spite!! then proceeded to howl for about fifteen minutes. and i know i'm a bad mom because i was laughing the whole time! this was his best performance yet! i probably should have put him in time out or done something, but honestly i didnt want to hear his howling(plus i would have to exert too much energy to drag him back in the house) he marched around the yard crying and fussing and wound up at the barn.... i could hear him talking(i assume to the goat i keep up there??) and he came back to the house all better! he was smiling, swinging his arms.. totally different kid! he helped me do yard work, feed the animals, and build a fire pit.. didnt mention horses again! he did ask if he could pet the goat.. of course later this evening he was starving.... asked me if he could have another pizza..... "well what happened to the one you had for lunch?" lol his words exactly were "Well... you made me cry so. i had to feed it to the dog.. and its just dog food now." OMG! silly little runt.. i know kids arent for everyone but moments like these keep life interesting cant wait to tell his girlfriends these stories lol

it never ends.....this afternoon while in the care of her older brother (he's 11 and I was outside cleaning the pool) Miss Abigail decided to make Jezzebelle "bootiful".... I walked in the door to find Jezzebelle decked out with mardi gras type necklaces, headbands, and a wonderful, not so washable marker rainbow all over her!!! Where was her brother while all of this was happening, reading his latest "Cat" book...ugh!!! Jezzebelle just sat there loving all the attention. Abigail was so proud of herself for making Jezz bootiful she was smiling ear to ear...too bad I couldn't find my camera, still can't....grrrr! I hate putting things away in safe places just to forget where I put them...
oh Jezzebelle is a 2 year old black and white Pit possibly Mastiff mix? We know for sure that her mom was a rednose and she was intentionally bred to another rednose but the family thinks that "Bob" their other male might of gotten in on the fun because she looks just like him and Bob is a Mastiff mix!

I can't find any recent pics of Jezzebelle on this computer but here's on of her about 8 weeks old eating a chicken back...when DH brought her home she was 5w5days old and we started her right away on ground whole chicken, by 8 weeks she was eating whole chickenbacks! I know 5weeks is way to young but mommy dog started getting aggressive with the pups, there were 14, and she had injured 2 and killed one, we have no idea why she turned on them, the two that were injured after treatment were and still are in great health....the family just didn't want to risk any more pups getting hurt...Shyla, the mom dog, has since passed... aww she's so cute!! she sounds like my old lady, Kaydee. she looooooved the babies. any baby. she would jump through flaming hoops just to give kisses sadly she passed before my kids were old enough to really have fun with her. she broke her back and held up for therapy for two years but finally it started hurting her bad enough that i couldnt trust her not to react aggressively out of pain. she used to get along great with my goats, strange for a bully, but she would lie in the sunshine with Bella my LaMancha doe. but one day i heard the most horrible sound..... i came running out of the house to find my broken down crippled dog trying to tear Bella's leg off, and Bella was screaming the whole time. after that i just had nightmares of that being one of my kids, or one of the kids i babysat, or my husband or.... but after i made my decision.... i still regret it. today i wonder if maybe i had just her more isolated..... but ... Kaydee wouldnt have been happy if i had kept her apart from family. she was a hardcore personal protector and i guess it would have stressed her more..? i dont know what it says about me, but if i could trade all of my animals right now to have her back... i would probably do it. she was just THAT good of a dog.. the reason i could sleep at night and didnt have to worry about going for walks and getting assaulted or worry about my kids playing outside. Kaydee was like Ol' Yeller... in every sense of the word But, even though she's not a bulldog, Tori my dingo pup, is pretty much the same in devotion. just lacks the muscle lol
