Thanks so much!
How have you been?
My parents and I have been building the ferts a new outdoor cage. All the super big hutches are only offered in the UK, so we decided to create out own.
I'll post pics as soon as it's done

I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the new cage! I'd love to live in an area where mine could be outdoors in the nice weather.

Hey, Sherrylynne!
I was researching different freeze dried foods and foud Animal Food Services. They seem to offer better food than Wysong and at a better price. Have you ever tried them before? Would you recommend them?
Also, I was wondering what you think of Stella and Chewy's?
Thanks!

None of mine would accept AFS, either cat or ferret. Stella and Chewey's was a big hit with the cats, but since the ferrets were already on Wysong's Archetypal 1, they weren't interested in the S&C, and I didn't bother pushing it. As for the Wysong's- A1 is the only one I'll give them. Too many veg in the others. Plus, the consistency of the Wysong's was a hit with mine.

Update:
Ugh! It seems Sookie has the onset of Rat Tail -_-
She's never had this before, but I think I've caught it soon enough that her whole tail won't go bald...
I scrubbed her tail (and everyone else's) with Hylyt then doctored it with Clean and Clear. She's so itchy :/
Do you think I could spray some hotspot medicine on it?
As far as the raw goes, the ferts enjoy their burgers more and more everyday! I still give them the option of a small amount of kibble for when they run out of raw. I only feed them raw in the afternoons and then give them chicken baby food in the evenings.
Boy, Sookie has gotten muscular and feisty! All my ferrets seem to have more energy than I know what to do with now XD

Rat tail isn't uncommon right now. It's frequently a part of the shed coming up to a new season. As for the Hylyt and the Clean and Clear, what are the ingredients? If they have benzoyl peroxide, it's probably a better idea not to use them. Look for something with salicylic acid instead. Although- even if you do nothing, the fur will come back regardless! It just takes a little bit longer. No need to use anything else on it. Since none of your little ones have insulinoma, you could get rid of the kibble entirely, you know Are you planning on putting them on frozen commercial raw at all, or staying with the Wysong's burgers?

Yes!
They are all eating commercial raw only. I think I'd say we've all made the switch. I'm not sure what happens now, but does this mean we've graduated?

Can you give me a weekly menu of what they are eating now? I know it's all freeze dried, but I'd like to be certain they are receiving enough different proteins first Sort of Monday: Chicken, Tuesday: Beef, etc. And which companies are you using now? Wysong's? AFS? Stella and Chewy's?

I have all of them eating Stella and Chewy’s freeze dried food.
Every day, they get Stella’s lamb, duck, and beef. Then, I thow in an organic chicken jerky that smells so good, I'm tempted to eat it myself XD
Should I be giving them just one kind of meat per day?
They also enjoy Wysong Archetype Burgers and Dream Treats, but I find it less expensive and more convenient to buy S&C at a local pet store.
Almost done with the cage!!!!

No, they don't need it separately daily, as you know they have no reactions to any of the proteins you are feeding. If you can get some other proteins for them, that would be ideal, but not essential, since they are getting 3 full, and one other supplemental. Now- I'd like you to start getting them to try it rehydrated. Just add a tiny bit of water at first, see how they do with it. While it is a much higher, better quality protein than kibble, they are still at the same sort of risks with dehydration from eating it dry all the time.

They now accept their commerical raw moistened.
I wanted to wait until I had them all eating it before I posted anything.
