In a way, it's kind of like Boris and chicken. He can handle one, maybe two, meals of chicken per week with no problems. More than that, however, and he has the yellow, bird seed type poops. And he only has a sensitivity, not an allergy, nor IBD. My vet did warn me, however, that if he had too much of it, it could develop into IBD.

Ok, so this is the last poop of the night when he had all Turkey. The one poop was REALLY bad, then he had a yucky color/texture but more solid poop, then he had this poop. Gave him lamb and rabbit again, more solid, but yellow poops. Last night/this morning I gave him lamb, rabbit, turkey. These were the poops from today: And this was today when we got to Shane's house.

Turkey, Beef, and Lamb all ground, all in equal parts, with Reishi and Pancreatin but no flax or pumpkin but he did have a tiny mouse, and 2 mice the night before that he might have pieces of stashed.... not too shabby! Esp with the added stress of a new buddy... Mucousy, but not excessively so... For comparison...Kenai's kibble poops! I cannot believe how much he poops, or how often!!!! Kenai is half of Koda's size, but poops like every hour and his poops are ten times as large! AND he hasn't eaten since leaving the pet store!

wow! compared to Koda's those are HUGE!!! and they probably stink pretty badly too! They smell horrendous! Haha and it was quite the shock to see how much poop could come out ofthat little toy rear of his. AND he pooped like 5 times just at Shane's, even without having any food available. Koda Maybe poops 5 times a Day on a poopy day. This mite managed it in a few hours! Lol

fanfjdjsfjdshbfsj I just made a whole long post and it got lost....ok starting again.... Dec 6th (last night) I was a little alarmed but just thought maybe Koda threw up more mouse or had diarrhea. It continued though, so now I am alarmed. You can really see Kenai's slobbishness in the poop box here. It was clean, but he poops like non-stop! Tonight... The one front and center with the red slimy tinge could be Koda or Kenai. Kenai has been having seedy poops and I figured he was just adapting to the new diet. Now it has been almost 2 weeks though and I am starting to wonder... Specimen 1 Look Familiar? It could be Koda's I suppose. Any chance I (heaven help me!) have TWO IBD babies? Specimen 2 - white foamy poop, has an odd texture almost like Play dough. Ever play with Floam...? Specimen 3 Specimen 4 I have never seen nor heard of anything like this. All Google Yielded was this... answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100112201721AAFBMYzThe closest thing it comes too is when I give them a big dose of Vaseline and they poop Vaseline..but Vaseline is Vaseline-y, not foamy... They have been getting ground rabbit and lamb, no supplements. And mice. The mice have been eating a mix of bird seed (contains corn, sunflower seeds, barley, and a bunch of stuff), oatmeal, split peas, barley, cheerios (treats), and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. It is a homemade mix and they have been doing well on it. I do recall reading somewhere that it could be the grain that chicken are fed that ferrets are allergic too. If that was the case, and the corn was an issue I would think I'd have had a problem before now... Anyways, in a mouse it would be more concentrated than a chicken I suppose..... The lamb had skin on it, but no bone, the ground rabbit had liver and bone ground in. Is it possible the meat was bad at all? It shouldn't have been, but that is always something I worry about after bringing home a thing of meat once to realize it was expired. The store usually does a good job, but I still worry. I didn't check the date on the lamb...

Koda's poop after soupies but not enough time to have digested it... So whose poops are the white foamy ones...could it be Kenai?

Reading all of Koda's IBD issues makes me realizes that Lulabelle probably has the same issue he does *sigh*
The problem is that Lulabelle lives with 4 other boogers. It's impossible to tell the difference, so now I'm going to have her live separately in another pen I set up for her and write down a log. What was fed and when, poop consisitency and time, etc. I just can't keep up with how much change she goes through in a day whereas everyone else is all relatively the same.
The green poops I would say it does not look like pork is agreeing very well at all - try again later. Lulabelle was like that at first too, after a couple months she seems to do better on pork.
