Tonto is Champagne - his pattern is point or fine point (not sure which since his mask changes quite a bit. I'll try to attach another picture of Tonto with his immediately after he sheds. -jennifer Attachments:

Oops - the above picture is his summer coat after the short fur grows in. The next picture will show the short fur, which is not as red/orange when it first grows in. Attachments:

What a lovely colour he is.. My little one is a fine point, and he has the zipper line of colour along his belly. At the moment you can see brown hair on his mask, legs, tail & belly, the rest is the baby pink colour. He is only nearly 3 weeks old, just interesting to see his markings before it gets covered in fur because you can see the pink skin clearly now. I will try to get a photo when Bindi is busy eating and post it in Bindi's Diary. Thank you..

OMG he was/is PRECIOUUS! He really looks a lot like MegaWeasel when I first got him. I have no clue what MW's coloring is...I was thinking champagne...but Idk the difference btwn champagne and chocolate. It's hard to tell when ur reading descriptions. I have never seen a really good photo chart of the colors/patterns. I know he is recently getting a mask (idk if it is seasonal) but he used to only have little eye spots. AND he is getting a triangle on the top of his head.
Also, I think I remember reading somewhere about ferrets getting their seasons mixed up. I got MegaWeasel in Jan and he was about 3 months old... He got really fat and fluffy and stayed this way until recently he lost a lot of weight (not unhealthy) and his fur has really thinned. It looks like he lost a winter coat and is now getting a summer coat. Idk if it was bc he was born in late fall due to Marshalls breeding and naturally should have been born in the spring? Anyone know anything about this?

My little Nicodemus was like that, he too was a Marshals brat. I used to call him my little one from down under because he always put on this luscious coat and got rather round during the summer and lost weight and most of his beautiful coat during the winter. Poor wee boy never did get it right. ciao
