Thansk everyone. I have already switched them to canned. Ty only gets canned but Neko gets a small amout of kibble every day because she doesnt like the switch as much and is not eating as much of the canned food as she should so she gets 1/8 cup of kibble at night. I will stop feeding her kibble once the bag I have now is gone. My mom just got meow mix and they both like it and its not a terrible food but I will make sure she gets some of the better brands next time. I have been feeding Ty about 1.5 to 2 cans of food (each can is 5.5oz) Is that more than he needs? Neko eats 1/2 to 1 can every day plus her 1/8 cup of kibble.

If you go on catinfo.org under the obesity link she has a formula for figuring out a safe diet, I think it's basically figure out how much he is eating calorie wise right now and cut it by 20%, try that for a few weeks and cut it more if he's not losing. You want him to drop the weight slowly and safely so find a good scale and keep an eye on his weight.

I have been feeding him as much as he wants and he has lost a half a pound. I dont think its just regular weight fluctuation because this is the first time his weight has gone down. Before whenever we weighed him, he had always gained weight. Neko has lost a pound and I have also been feeding her as much as she wants. Today I got Evo and Evangers canned food. Is Evangers a good brand? I got Organic turkey and butternut squash. It has no grains in it.
