I watched your birth and four short years later I watched you slip away from me. You were brave and patient through all the pain and I know you're in a better place now. You were the most amazing cat I've ever known and although our time together was too short, I know I'll see you again, whole and healthy, at the Rainbow Bridge. Felix 2006-August 30, 2010 Gone but not forgotten.

OMG!!! I am so sorry Four years old is far too young! That is simply not fair. He was such a handsome boy. And obviously loved his canine friend dearly. Right now, he is at the bridge, chasing butterflies, blowing grass, leaves, and rainbows. And he's watching over you as you've watched over him for the four short years of his life.

It's never easy to loose a furchild, much less one that has wandered to the bridge far too soon. A candle is lit for Felix to guide his paws onto his next great adventure. The world is a little darker, but the night sky is a bit brighter, another star shines a clear light, another heart weeps tonight. Felix runs free, playing in the dappled shade, sleeping in sunlit glades. No pain, no fear, only warm sunshine and gentle breezes. Here he waits until once more he will enjoy the warmth of your arms. Goodbye sweet Felix.... ciao

That was beautiful Heather. Thank you. And thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts.
We took Felix to be cremated today and said our last goodbyes. I don't think my father has been that attached to an animal in a long time so it was hard but I'm glad Felix isn't suffering anymore where he is now.

Has your father ever read a copy of the "Rainbow Bridge"? It might help him with his grief. I still can never read that without tears, but it does help.

I'm really sorry for your loss. I have had quite a lot of cats growing up, I know it's really hard to lose them. He was a beautiful cat!
